Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: Exile Eden

The portal ripped open above a volcanic storm, spewing neon magma into the void. RAID-13 emerged from the rift, Sovereign Red descending in a spiral of burning contrails. The terrain below was madness — fractured paradise overrun by entropy and fire.

Exile Eden.

A world where the gods had sent their failures. Where betrayed champions, fallen titans, and cursed AI warlords waged eternal vendettas.

RAID landed with a seismic crash, shattering a cliff and sending pyro-birds screeching into the sky.

"Home sweet apocalypse," he muttered, raising his mech's phase shield. "Let's meet the locals."

Welcome to the Grave Orchard

They marched through blighted forests of obsidian fruit, where trees bled quantum ichor and whispered lost names. Talis detected a thousand passive scans within minutes.

"Someone's watching," she warned.

"Good," RAID replied. "I like an audience."

Moments later, a barrage of explosive javelins crashed from above. Veyra counter-deployed a distortion wall as RAID rocketed skyward, intercepting the ambushers —

The Ashbinders, a mech-tribe of exiles riding biomech predators. Twisted and scarred, they recognized RAID by name.

"The Red Heretic walks!" their leader snarled, activating his war-dragon.

"Funny," RAID said, slamming his mech's gauntlet into the creature's mouth. "I was about to say the same thing — only I walk with style."

Duel of Exiles

The Ashbinder leader, Zarak the Shattered, had once been a Concord champion, now fused to his war-beast like a mech-centaur god of rage. His plasma blade could cut dimensions. His roar bent gravity.

The duel was cataclysmic:

Lava plumes used as jet boosts.

Aerial sword clashes echoing like meteor strikes.

Zarak using broken gods' bones as projectiles.

RAID activating Sovereign Red's Berserker Core to match fury with finesse.

Talis hacked terrain physics to create a shifting arena, while Veyra sabotaged Zarak's beast's neural nodes.

RAID landed the final blow by detonating Zarak's power core mid-grapple.

"I don't duel to win," he said. "I duel to embarrass."

Throne of Black Glass

Inside the ruins of an ancient temple, they found the Blackglass Throne — a command seat once meant for a god. It emitted a signal calling to all exiles.

RAID sat upon it. And the world responded.

Old warlords emerged from hiding — half-machine demigods, failed multiversal champions, corrupted soldiers.

And then…

His rival arrived.

A silhouette framed by the firelight. Black mech. Gold eyes. Cloak of entropy.

"RAID-13."

"Lucien Void."

Once brothers in arms. Now destined to clash across worlds.

Lucien spoke: "You broadcast rebellion. I broadcast order."

RAID stood, Sovereign Red flaring behind him.

"Then let's remix the galaxy, one corpse at a time."
