Sumihiko Kamado, a spirited and somewhat hot-headed descendant of Tanjiro Kamado, navigates the everyday challenges of modern Tokyo. His world is shattered in a single, horrific night when a demon, bearing the chilling scent of Muzan's influence, slaughters his family, leaving only his brother, Kanata Kamado, clinging to life.

As Sumihiko desperately races against time to find help for his brother, Kanata undergoes a horrifying transformation into a demon. Just as he succumbs to his primal instincts, a seasoned Hashira, a survivor from the secretly re-established Demon Slayer Corps, appears. Sumihiko, driven by a fierce, protective love, throws himself between his demon brother and the Hashira's blade, unknowingly echoing his ancestor's desperate struggle. Through sheer will and the faint echoes of humanity within Kanata, the Hashira is swayed, offering a grim reprieve and a new, perilous path.

Sumihiko is thrust into a hidden war, where the revived Demon Slayer Corps operates in the shadows, battling not only the remnants of Muzan's original Twelve Kizuki but also a terrifying new hierarchy: the Masei, powerful demons born from corrupted humans. With his demonized brother by his side, Sumihiko must now confront a world that believes itself safe, awaken the dormant power within himself, and embark on a desperate quest for a cure, vengeance, and the ultimate eradication of a resurgent evil far more cunning and dangerous than any before.

Hello dear readers, if you are seeing this you've probably read the first chapter or skipped ahead to this and ask me why? 


And your right. What made me decide to write this fanfic when the Demon Slayer series is finished. Well honestly I wanted to see this vision I had of the series in the modern day with its own brutal twist with muzan barely survived the battle as a nanometer of flesh in the shade. For muzan to regenerate become even more powerful and is set out on wiping the kamado bloodline for good. That's just the basic way of putting it and I could go into detail but I'd rather keep it a surprise. 


I will say you might see certain parallels to the original series in certain aspects and arcs.
