Consort Xu got rid of her jewellery by the aid of her personal maid Mama Su.
"Your Highness, you've been tense since you came from the banquet .Are you not feeling well?" Mama Su asked her voice laced with concern. "And how will you do that?" she asked eagerly, feeling pleasant that someone else had the same agenda as her.
"Should I poison her?"
"That's too intense. His Majesty will find out."
"There are many types of poison. We could get a long term one that doesn't act immediately but weakens her with time just like an illness,"she suggested,her lips twisting into an evil smirk.
"Good idea,"the consort clapped, feeling overjoyed by the perfect idea.

"My Lord,"Chen Fengxi called out in excitement as soon as she heard the door to her room creak open but immediately dulled seeing her personal maid coming in with a food box.
"Madam here is your dinner. You should eat it so you can regain your strength soon enough,"the maid spoke with genuine concern.
"Is His Lordship not back yet?"Chen Fengxi asked meekly, patting the sleeping infant beside her.
"He came back last night and went to his study and has not come out. Only Butler Gu is allowed to see him,"the maid informed.
"Why has he not visited yet?" she questioned feeling disappointed.
"I think..." the maid trailed off fearfully, afraid of jumping into a conclusion and land in trouble.
Chen Fengxi had given birth the previous night around the Hai hour and it was now the Xu hour and the master of the house had not shown up yet despite being informed about the news.

"Madam don't say that..." No sooner had the maid completed her words than the door burst wide open revealing the Vice Minister himself, Butler Gu and two other men dressed in black. The two men looked like bandits.
"Your Lordship you've finally come to see us. Look at our baby she looks so beautiful,"she said with a voice laced with emotion, cradling the baby and infant cooed at her mother's intimacy.
Yingtao Wei stared at the baby in total disgust. Only the heavens knew how much he was trying to hold himself back from spitting on the infant in her mother's arms.
"Your Lordship,our baby doesn't have a name yet. I was waiting for you so we could do it together, "the newborn's mother stated staring at her husband fondly but her heart sank seeing no reaction from the Vice Minister.
There was silence before Madam Chen spoke up again,"My Lord,is something bothering you?"she asked softly, her voice laced with concern.
"You've finally realized something's bothering me?"the man snapped,"Don't you realize what you've done you useless woman?Haven't you heard it's a taboo according to our traditions to give birth to a female alpha!" he spat angrily, "This right here is trash and trash doesn't belong here. You two come here and take this trash out," he ordered the two unfamiliar men behind him and the two jumped into action. They gripped the baby trying to separate her from her mother.
Madam Chen tried pushing them as she secured the baby but the two were much stronger than her and snatched the baby.
"My Lord please let go of her. I beg you... My Lord I will do anything but please don't take my baby away. Please I will die,"Madam Chen sobbed, kneeling, her hands caressing her husband's feet desperately but the man kicked her away mercilessly.
"My baby! She doesn't even have a name yet."
Following the Vice Minister's instructions,they took the innocent angel away to God knows where. With a cold expression Yingtao Wei walked out of the room slamming the door angrily. And Madam Chen,she was left heartbroken, weeping,she wept till she lost her voice.
