Flowborne is more than just a fantasy action story—it's a journey about grief, resilience, and discovering one's place in a world that often feels bigger than you.
When I began writing this story, I didn't want another chosen-one hero who gets power handed to him. I wanted Zenith, a boy who grew up surrounded by loss and uncertainty, to earn everything he becomes. The story opens with a tragedy—a vivid, painful loss that shapes his worldview. But more than that, it becomes the seed of something greater: a quiet flame of resolve that won't burn out. That flame is what Flowborne is truly about.
The world itself is deeply rooted in cultural elements inspired by Japanese folklore, samurai tradition, and elemental mysticism, but I also layered it with emotional depth. The Flow system isn't just magic or power—it's a reflection of who you are, what you've endured, and how balanced you are in spirit. Calm, anger, love, discipline—your emotional state shapes your strength. In that way, everyone's Flow is personal, and no two warriors fight the same.
As a reader and anime lover, I've always been drawn to stories like Naruto, Demon Slayer, and Attack on Titan, where power comes at a cost, and characters must wrestle with their own demons. With Flowborne, I wanted to bring that same emotional impact. The bonds between the disciples—their rivalries, laughter, and shared suffering—are a major heartbeat of the story. You'll see characters like Lithos, Raijin, Ayame, Ranka, and others evolve not just in strength, but in humanity.
I also wanted to explore the gray area between gods and mortals. The story of Arashi Kotetsu, the legendary figure from the Age of Myth, hints at deeper questions: What if power corrupts not just humans, but divine beings? What if rebellion is the only righteous choice? The truth behind his fall from grace will unravel slowly, but it holds a mirror to Zenith's own path—how close will he come to becoming the very thing he was meant to stop?
Flowborne is still just beginning. What you've seen so far is the spark. The real storm is coming. Mythic secrets, betrayals, ancient pacts, and world-breaking truths lie ahead. I hope you, as a reader, will stick around not just for the action—but for the quiet moments, the broken smiles, and the burning questions about what it truly means to be strong.
Thank you for reading. Whether you're here for the fights, the feels, or the worldbuilding—I see you. And I promise, this story is just getting started.
