Jay's POV:
Aries was acting strange today. Did he contemplate his life decisions and decided to change? He offered to help me and was more patient. I'm not going to school right now so I stayed in my room the entire day. I was still ignoring those ulupongs. It was midnight now. I felt hungry. Who am I kidding, I'm always hungry. I went downstairs to see if there was anything to eat and Aries was there, he had a glass of water in his hands.
"Are you hungry?" He sipped his water, avoiding my gaze.
"I'm going out to the convenience store"
"You can't go alone, you're receiving death threats, remember?" Thanks for the reminder.
"Who will I go with then?"
"Just come with me"
Is he on something?
I muttered something before we went outside and got on my bike. He drove and I sat behind him holding his stomach with one hand.
"I'm sorry." I apologized.
"For what?" He asked confused and his eyebrows narrowed.
"For stabbing you."
He stopped suddenly. We almost fell off because of his sudden break. I saw his hand grip the bike handles.
"H-ho-..you remember?"
"It was an accident. I'm sorry"
I felt his tears drip down.
He stayed silent and continued to drive until we reached the convenience store. I got up and got a pack of ramen and a drink. I got a small amount compared to what I usually buy. He got a bag of chips. He was surprised I got that little, and when I paid at the cash register, he was even more surprised. Yes, I know I act like Zhongli being secretly rich but never bringing money but I still have etiquette.
"What?" I was confused.
"You don't want anything else?" He grabbed everything on the counter and put it in a bag.
"No." I sighed. Is this guy making fun of how much I eat?
When we were riding back, it was peaceful. I could hear birds chirping and feel the serene breeze.
"I remember you used to teach me how to ride a bike when we were kids too."
"Since when did you remember all of this?"
"It's a secret. I hope you can keep it for me and don't tell anyone I know."
He was about to say something but he stopped. I leaned my head on his back which made him jolt up a bit. We got off and I went to his room to eat with him. After I cooked my ramen, I headed upstairs quietly, careful not to wake anyone else up.
I slowly opened his door to see him sitting down like a depressed little boy.
I sat down next to him slurping my name.
"Why'd you come here Jay?"
"Can I trust you?"
"What? Why are you being so weird Jay?"
I stayed persistent, "Can I trust you?"
"Of course you can."
"Swear to not tell a soul."
"Okay??"
I signaled him to come closer and whispered in his ear, "Do you know J&JHealthcare?"
He scoffed, "of course I do"
"Well I own it"
He started laughing quietly but I just stared at him.
"Oh you're serious?! Aren't you stupid?"
"I'm not stupid, I just pretend to be"
"Why?"
"I have to, I can't explain but I just wanted to tell someone else"
"Who else knows?"
"My assistant and Percy-"
"Percy?! Why does he know"
"I had contact with him for a long time and I told him"
"Before me? Am I still your brother?"
"Well did you tell me you were my brother?"
"That means you already knew before and you were pretending?"
"Yes, now it's getting late, go to sleep" I got up and headed back to my room quietly.
Aries's POV:
Huh?. Actually no wonder it's named J&JHealthcare, the J and J is for Jay-Jay. So she has been acting stupid the entire time? But why?
