Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: Ayo, Meet Karma

[LUCAS – POV]

I wasn't just angry—I was done.

Ayo had crossed the line. Posting Jasmine's private video? Unforgivable.

I didn't go to the principal.

I didn't go to the school board.

I went to his weakness—his ego.

By the time lunch rolled around, the whole school had seen my post. Ayo's fake grades, his edited transcripts, and—icing on the cake—a short clip of him bragging at a party about how he only came to Kingston "to mess with his ex and get laid."

Every student had their phones out. His "boys" weren't laughing anymore.

And when he stepped into the cafeteria, all eyes turned. Silence dropped like a bomb.

Then—boom—the projector screen flickered to life.

My last gift: A full slideshow titled, "Ayo: Clown of the Century."

I stood in the center of the cafeteria, arms crossed.

He spotted me, jaw tight.

"You think this is over?" he growled.

"No," I said coolly. "This is me just starting."

[JASMINE – POV]

I didn't know what Lucas had done until I walked into the cafeteria and saw Ayo storming out.

People clapped when they saw me.

Someone shouted, "Jasmine for president!"

I was confused—until Liv ran up and showed me her phone.

"Oh my God," I whispered.

Lucas hadn't just defended me. He'd annihilated Ayo.

He stood by the vending machines, looking calm, like he didn't just burn down a boy's reputation.

I walked up to him, heart thudding.

"You did this?"

He just smirked. "Didn't want my girl crying in a bathroom stall again."

I grabbed his shirt and pulled him into a kiss, right there, in front of everyone.

Let them watch.

Let them see.

I wasn't the girl hiding anymore.

I was his.
