Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Locker Note

[JASMINE – POV]

I didn't expect to find anything when I opened my locker. Maybe a flyer or some gum stuck to the door.

But there it was. A folded piece of paper—no name, just my name scribbled in black ink.

Jasmine. Meet me behind the old music room. 12:30. Don't bring Lucas. — B.

B?

Only one girl in this school signs her letters like a Bond villain.

Bianca.

I knew I should throw it away. Ignore it. But curiosity is a tricky addiction.

So at 12:29, I was already standing behind the music room, arms crossed, heart pounding.

She showed up in heels like it was a runway. "I figured you'd come. Girls like you are always dying to prove they're brave."

"What do you want?"

Her smile was razor-sharp. "To warn you. Lucas? He's broken. The boy's not yours to fix. He likes complicated. And you're next on the list of girls he'll ruin."

I blinked. "That's rich coming from someone still obsessed with him."

For once, Bianca didn't have a comeback. Just a smirk and a warning: "Watch your heart, Jasmine. Because he won't."

She walked away. But her words? They stayed.

[LUCAS – POV]

When Jasmine returned to class, something was different.

She wasn't making eye contact. Wouldn't sit next to me. Wouldn't even smirk at my dumb jokes.

I cornered her after class. "Hey. Did I do something?"

She looked at me like she didn't know whether to kiss me or slap me. "Do you break every girl you touch, Lucas?"

That stunned me. "What? No. Who said that?"

"Someone who thinks she knows

I stepped closer, voice low. "Then let me prove she's wrong."

And in that moment… she didn't step away.
