The next morning, he woke up as he stretched his body. The sun had just risen as he tightened his robe and exited his room. Old Shu also came out at the same time and motioned for him to follow.
Walking down, Old Shu picked up two bamboo brushes and threw one to Lixin. Lixin caught it and looked at Old Shu, waiting for an explanation.
"They are made of Spirit Purity Bamboo. Wash your teeth with it, and they shall remain clean for the day."
"Understood."
Walking out, Lixin looked at the sunny field as the pigs and chickens had already started their daily duty. One was already playing in the mud, and the other was roaming around aimlessly.
Both of them walked toward the well near the cottage as they started to brush their teeth. Spitting the water from his mouth, Old Shu looked at Lixin and said.
"If you want to do nature's calling, there is a place for that behind the cottage."
"Hmm, what about you?"
"Me, although I am still considered a mortal. My need to defecate has decreased. I only need to poop or pee once a week."

Old Shu shouted as he walked toward the lake. Lixin watched in silence, waiting for Old Shu's next action.
Seeing Lixin silent, Old Shu just smiled as he quickly undressed, taking Lixin by surprise. At least he was wearing underwear. His body was quite muscular for a man his age, and as Lixin watched, he jumped into the pool, disturbing the fish in it.
"Umm?"
"What are you waiting for? Don't be ashamed as a man."
He shouted from the lake as he motioned Lixin to follow him. Lixin didn't dare follow his command as he couldn't help but ask.
"What if an immortal sees us?"
"HAHAHA"
Hearing his question, Old Shu burst out laughing, startling the fishes even more. He looked at Lixin as if he had told a good joke.
"Immortal will watch us. Pff hahahaha"
"Hahah, Boy, the immortals have far more important things to do than to watch an old man swim naked."
"Plus, even if they watch you, there won't be much to see down there. So, kid, what are you waiting for? Jump."
Hearing his words, Lixin felt second-hand shame. It seemed to be true that people get more shameless the older they get.

Before he could react, they rushed toward him as he felt a tickling sensation all over his body.

He was forced to burst out laughing as Old Shu also laughed from the side, watching in fun as he was tickled by a school of fish.
After a while, the fish slowly dispersed as Lixin felt his jaw hurt. He glared at Old Shu, but the old man just laughed it off.
"Although the process is ticklish, these fish will help clean your skin. It would be good for your future practice."
Old Shu said as he controlled his smile, his demeanor now like that of an old master. Hearing his words, Lixin's small anger died down. It seems that Old Shu was doing this for his own good.
Unknown to him, seeing Lixin's enlightened expression, he could help but almost burst out laughing.
After this little episode, they changed their clothes and took out some cleaning tools and buckets from the warehouse.
"Hey, spray this on yourself."
Old Shu suddenly stopped as he handed Lixin something that looked like a perfume bottle. Inside, it contained golden glowing liquid.
"What's this?"
Lixin asked this time, talking in a more familiar voice. The little incident in the bathhouse had made Lixin more at ease with Old Shu.
"This is some good stuff."
"It was quite expensive, but I managed to buy it."
"It's not some dangerous substance, is it?"

Old Shu shouted, but Lixin, for some reason, felt that he was lying. From yesterdays interaction he thought that Old Shu was a serious man but now his impression of him has changed.
He doesn't seem to be a steady grampa but more of a fun-loving person.

Lixin chose to believe him as he sprayed himself. He felt that nothing had changed. Just to make sure, he bent down and picked up dirt from the ground.

Seeing him stunned, Old Shu just whistled away, lying on the lawn chair. He took a comfortable position and bathed in the morning sun.
Lixin watched all this unfold with a speechless expression. He felt like Old Shu was a school bully, and he was the person being bullied.
Well, sighing that this was life, he held his breath and started to clean the feces of the pigs, putting it in the bucket. He dumped it into the dumping ground.
He made three or more trips before he finally cleaned everything. It was a good thing that they dumped their waste in a specific area only.
"Feed the animals."
Old Shu shouted from the side and closed his eyes once more. Lixin watched this happen with a helpless look as he followed his order. He wondered if there was any law against child labor in this world.
After an hour, he finished everything, and Old Shu also awakened as he walked toward Lixin.
"Nothing as good as finishing all the work."
Old Shu shouted as if he were the one who did all the work. Lixin didn't say anything; it seems he can only be bullied for a while.
"Follow me to the kitchen."
Old Shu said as Lixin's eyes finally lit up, thinking about yesterday's food, his steps couldn't help but become more hurried.
Just as he reached the kitchen, Old Shu ordered him to cook. He said that it was a teaching experience so having nothing to say at that he cooked the meal as per Old Shu's instruction.
The food that came out was decent, although not as good as that of Old Shu's. It was still quite appetizing.

A shout came from the outside. Hearing the nickname, Lixin looked at him, feeling that this nickname quite suited him. Feeling Lixin's gaze, he seems to understand his thought as Old Shu gave an awkward cough to lighten his shame.
