Her eyes ice cold and smile chilling, she takes airy footsteps towards the oblivious Kia ; without a single word she twists the shard right into Kia's back. Making sure to stab her with it several times until Kia's breathing stops. Satisfied, she drops the shard.
I finally let go of my breath I had been holding back. Finally as I was sighing but,
She grabs a fucking hammer- "Uhm. The next scene cannot be played" said the Settings. As the screen turns off.
…That's horrible. I felt a cold wave of nerves hit upon me making me shiver at the gruelling sight I just witnessed.
The Settings said ,"I mean….can you avoid this ending?". Its tone clearly hinted that Settings and I were on the same boat, still recovering from the horrendous spine chilling killing scene we just watched.
I said, "Yeah. Everyone in isekai avoids death." Acting calm and nonchalant as if I wasn't intimidated.
The Setting burst out laughing in the most aggravating way possible, "Pfft..you think you are the protagonist? Sorry ma'am. It's Diana Kinder who is the protagonist and your destined killer".
I said ,"I will avoid Devian. And avoid any of the main characters ",
As the Settings sighed and said,"It's not that simple. There is a force in the story that will make you follow the story without your consent."
I said ,"Like, I will be forced to act exactly like how Kia does in the novel?"
The Settings said ,"Yes, but only when the original timeline starts until then you are free of the bounds."
I said "...So…Umm..Is there any way to escape this? I don't understand you are saying this is my reality and won't explain what happened to the real me in the real world"
The Settings clearly glossed over it as it said ,"..Look, there's a way to escape Kia's miserable life. Right now you are 6 months ahead of when the original story will begin. There is a thing called freedom points."

As the Setting continued, "The more you gain the freedom points (FP), the less the original story can control you. It's actually pretty easily to collect at least for you who is kinda insignificant in the story"
I said, "Alright,so I need to collect enough FP to escape the original storyline? "
Settings said "Yes, I will tell you how to. But first there is another thing: luck value. It's hard to collect and it doesn't have much to do with what role you have in the novel."
I asked, "What's a luck value?"
Settings replied, "It's basically your luck And it's value"

I snapped ,"Are you stupid?"

I said ,"Whatever, just tell me how to collect FP."
"No,noo,noooo. First you need to know about the luck value. It's the most important. It determines how favorable the world will be to you, it also determines your death.
You can escape being the side-kick kia of the story with FP but to escape death you need luck value(LV). Kia's death is somewhat an important point in the novel despite her being inconsequential. ".
I said, "Alright,…so I need both FP and LV?",
The Settings clarified, "Yes, FP is inversely proportional to your LV.And now let's move on to how to get them.
FP can be earned pretty easily by doing things Kia's character isn't supposed to do. So when you made the excuse of a fake confession to Devian, it gave you a hefty amount of FP. So just act like yourself to earn FP".
As I asked,"...Oh..sure how much do I have?"

As I jolted up suddenly all Kia's old memories rushed through. It seemed like she had been depressed and stressed after her mother died..she would constantly blame her father for it..resulting in their strained relationship.

One of them which stood out was the memory of when her mother died,out of too much stress and anxiety, she blamed it on her father and the argument they had made me feel bad for both sides.
Kia's dad clearly wasn't the villain nor was Kia. Kia was just a child who didn't understand the complexities of adulthood.

The kid sucking the lollipop said while cleaning his snot with his hands "Ahahha give me some of the balls as well!".
The other boy who clearly had two straps of his bag on his shoulders said with a disgusted face "Eww..it's marbles not balls! Ball is this!",as he showed him a football.
The other Kid stopped sucking his lollipop as he said, "Yes, big ball". As the two boys argued the girl felt something ominous as
She looked that way only to be met with a very creepy woman staring at them creepily. She almost lost her voice at the sight
, she poked the boy who had two straps of his bag on his shoulders.

As they all screamed.
She bolted at them and gave them 10 dollars to shut up- I interrupted the Settings internally .
