Chapter 10 - BLOOD DISASTER EPISODE 10

NEW BEGINNING, WILL, AND REACTIONS

The long-awaited day had finally arrived—the day the will would be read. Anticipation ran high, especially for Mike, who had spent the previous night in restless excitement, certain that his father would reward him with the lion's share of the estate simply because he was the eldest.

Meanwhile, William sat in silence. Tears streamed down his face as he grieved the impending loss of their father—the same way they had lost their mother when they were just two weeks old. The weight of it all was unbearable.

Later that night, Mike heard a strange noise from the other side of the room. It was William, sobbing quietly—like a child. Disgusted, Mike sat up and scoffed.

"Stop being naïve," he snapped. "You're a grown man. Focus on your future. Once I get the inheritance, I'll take care of you."

Then he asked mockingly, "Aren't you even worried that our father is dying?"

William looked at him, eyes full of pain. "Of course, I'm worried. But what about you?"

Mike shrugged coldly. "It's none of my business. If the old man dies, well... maybe it was fate."

Rage spread across William's face. "You're selfish, Mike. Utterly selfish."

But Mike only let out a chilling, demonic laugh.

Moments later, their father, whose health had drastically deteriorated, sent word through the lawyer to summon them. It was time.

They gathered in the dining room, where they shared a quiet breakfast. Tension filled the air. The lawyer stood up, adjusted his suit, and began.

"Good morning, gentlemen. Thank you for being here," he said solemnly. "My name is Mr. Kaputo—though you may simply call me Lawyer K. I am here to officially read the last will and testament of your father, Mr. Pinchez."

He paused, eyeing both brothers.

"I must remind you: everything written in this will is legally binding and must be followed strictly. No disputes will be entertained by the courts."

He turned to the two young men. "Mr. Mike. Mr. William. Are you ready?"

They both nodded, though with very different expectations.

"Your father," he continued, "wrote this will based not on age, but on character. He believed—deeply—that a man's legacy must be entrusted to one who lives with integrity."

Mike's confident smirk faded.

"Mr. Mike, as the eldest, your father has left you the family house and his personal car."

A silence fell over the room as Mike's expression turned cold.

"Mr. William," the lawyer said, turning, "your father has entrusted you with the following:– The family oil company– Two mansions located in Banana Island– Thirty acres of prime land– The food processing company– And his university institution."

"These allocations reflect the values your father held and his assessment of your relationships with him. As per the law, they must be honored without contest."

Before the lawyer could finish, Mike flew into a rage. Furious and humiliated, he stood up and shouted. Then, in a shocking act of aggression, he lunged at his ailing father.

The room descended into chaos.

In the midst of the commotion, Mr. Pinchez collapsed—his frail body unable to withstand the stress. Moments later, he was pronounced dead.

Mike, breathing heavily and trembling with fury, looked back and snarled, "This isn't over," before storming out of the house.

Now, the burden falls on William.

With their father gone, and Mike growing more hostile by the day—
