The story is set in a distant future, long after the age known as Skyfall— a cataclysm that changed the laws of the world.
After Skyfall, modern weapons and ammunition lost all effect against the beasts . Guns, bombs, and machines became useless where aura reigned supreme.
To survive, humanity turned back to "ancient martial traditions" and forged new weapons using "Aetherite" — a rare metal discovered after Skyfall, capable of channeling aura and cutting through the beasts' unnatural defenses.
Swords, bows, spear and daggers became humanity's primary weapons once again, reborn through advanced craftsmanship and aura-infused techniques.
Despite this return to the old ways of war, civilization itself never regressed.
Communication, education, and identity systems remain highly advanced, powered by futuristic gadgets and city-wide neural networks. The world is now governed less by nations and more by legacy families and factions, each holding influence over their own territories.
The few remaining global institutions maintain only minimal military presence — their purpose focused on universal education, healthcare, and inter-clan/guild/family communication" rather than warfare.
In this new age, strength defines order — and those who cannot fight must find their place under those who can.
