Chapter 4 - A little anger.

It had been five months, five months since her escape from his wife. Toneri Otsutsuki still couldn't believe Hinata had the audacity to send that damn lawyer to his door.

He sat at his office desk, staring at the damn woman before him. He gave a wistful smile before looking at the papers inside the brown envelope.

"So she hides like a war fugitive and months later demands a divorce from me?"

"Mr. Otsutsuki, I assure you it will be a simple process. My client is giving up any material possessions; she just wants to resolve this as amicably as possible."

The platinum-haired man smiled mischievously, stroking the scar on the right side of his face; it was the gift his wife left him when she threw him the glass ashtray.

"Look what I'll do with the divorce petition, doctor." One by one, the pages were torn and burned. Kurenai Yuuhi watched the scene calmly, after all, this wasn't the first angry husband she'd had to give him.

"Hinata and I will be back soon. We just had a minor disagreement."

"Whatever the case, I'll continue to comply with my client's wishes. If you don't cooperate, we'll go to court, Mr. Otsutsuki."

"Believe me, we won't separate. Now, not to be rude, I have better things to do."

"Have a good day, sir."

He waited for the lawyer to leave and only then did he unleash his anger. Who did that damn woman think she was?

To have the audacity to send a lawyer with divorce papers? He would never sign those papers. Hinata was his, and just like their marriage vows, it would be to the death.

He looked at the portrait on his desk, his beautiful, smiling wife in her wedding dress.

"You're my Hina, and I swear I'll find you and bring you back. You've been hiding for too long, princess. Your husband is tired of this game. I think it's time to visit my in-laws."

...

Naruto woke to a small noise coming from the ceiling. As expected, he was being watched by the black Persian with orange eyes, staring at him from his chest.

"You know what, Max, you're quite lazy."

He received a purr in return. He stroked the soft fur as the feline stretched. He could smell freshly brewed coffee and something like cinnamon. He touched his abdomen and, taking a deep breath, managed to sit up. He felt pain, but soon, he gradually relaxed.

He saw that beside him were some folded clothes: a sweater with a collar, a tank top, sweatpants, clean underwear, socks, and flip-flops.

He was confused, where she'd gotten those clothes from?

He remembered her saying she lived alone, and the cabin seemed to be in the middle of nowhere.

"Good morning, Blue."

"Good morning, Miss Nobody."

He saw the brunette walk through the door. She was wearing the same pink jacket, a beanie, and lilac galoshes. Her nose was very red from the cold; winter was always merciless in that part of Tokyo.

"Did you sleep well?"

"Yes, thank you. Were you on the roof?"

"Fixing the leak, the tar helps a lot. I went to the village and bought these. I hope they fit you."

"And my clothes?"

"I had to cut them, I'm sorry, and speaking of which..."

She goes to the bookshelf drawer and returns with a wallet, handing it to him.

"This was in your pants pocket. Don't worry, I didn't look at anything."

"Thank you."

"Come on, I'll help you to the bathroom. I need to check these stitches later."

"I'm just wearing my underwear, young lady." "And I'm still dressed in my jacket, as far as I know. Stop it, let's go or you'll catch a cold."

She gently wrapped one of his arms around her neck, helping him lean against her. His skin was still very hot. They walked down the small hallway to the white door.

The space had a bathtub, which she began filling while Naruto caught his breath while sitting on the toilet. With the fresh wound, walking was difficult for him.

"I'm going to put some rosemary tea in here. It'll help with those stitches."

"Thank you."

"Here, take this painkiller. You still have a fever."

Gently, she placed the pill in his mouth, and gave him soap, a toothbrush still in its package, and some toothpaste.

"Can you get in by yourself?"

"Yes, I can."

"Okay, I'll set the breakfast table. You can stay as long as you want."

"Thank you, Miss Nobody."

"Hina."

"Excuse me?"

" "You can call me Hina, no one is too cliché, do you think, Blue?"

And with a gentle smile, she closed the door. Naruto slowly stepped into the tub, feeling immediately relieved. His tense body finally began to relax, and the scent of rosemary was utterly soothing.

...

Meanwhile, in downtown Tokyo, retired veterinarian Hiashi Hyuuga was growing more and more worried. His eldest daughter's absence was keeping him from sleeping or eating properly. It had been two months since she'd last called him to say she was safe and well.

"Love, don't just stare at your coffee."
