"Yes." I cross my arms stubbornly across my chest, refusing to turn around. "You went too rough."
"Oh, but you like it rough." He tugs at my hair just enough to tilt my head back, forcing me to meet his smirk before leaning down to kiss me softly, sweetly, like his words hadn't just set my cheeks on fire.
"Shut up," I mutter, my face flaming as I turn away, but he knows I'm flustered.
"If I remember correctly," Mateo says with that infuriating grin, "last night sounded a lot like, 'Fuck, Mateo! Harder, harder!'" He breaks into loud laughter, finally letting go of me to mess around with the coffee machine.
"God, why are you like this?" I groan, covering my face with both hands.
"Because you love me." His voice is sing-song, and when I peek through my fingers, I see him smirking at me like he's untouchable.
The smell of coffee starts to fill the kitchen.
I sigh, my irritation melting into a smile.
