Chapter 43 - Missing Him

Chapter 43 Amanda's POV

I stood before my warriors, my voice firm and commanding. "The rogue vampires may be defeated, but our work is far from over. I want patrols doubled, and our borders secured. We can't afford to let our guard down now."

My warriors nodded, their faces set with determination. They knew the risks we faced, and they were ready to defend our pack.

As I gave my orders, Amy stirred within me, her presence a reminder of the bond we shared. I felt her restlessness, her desire to be on high alert, and I knew she was still riled up from the battle.

With my warriors dispatched to their posts, I returned to my room, my heart heavy with longing. I missed Onyi, my mate, my love. I missed his touch, his voice, his presence.

"Amy, I wish Onyi was here," I whispered, feeling a pang in my chest.

Amy growled softly, as if echoing my sentiments. She missed him too, and she was just as frustrated as I was.

I collapsed onto my bed, my body weary from the fight. But my mind was wide awake, thinking of Onyi and the life we are meant to build together.

As I lay there, I felt Amy's presence, a comforting warmth that reminded me I wasn't alone. We'd get through this, together. I don't think I'll leave here in a week, the situation here is critical.

For now, I'd hold onto that hope, and plan our next move. The rogue vampires may be defeated, but our journey was far from over. And with Onyi on my mind, I'd face whatever lay ahead, armed with determination and love.
