Chapter 1 - [Chapter 1] The Spoiled Brat

Date: December 23rd, 2005

It was a morning like any other. Calm, quiet, and soaked in sunlight, the perfect blanket of peace wrapping around the opulence of the Lloyd family mansion.

Williams Lloyd was the only son of a wealthy and highly respected man. Born into privilege and raised without boundaries, he lived a life ruled not by discipline, but by desire.

He was a spoiled child, plain and simple. With barely any restrictions placed on him, Williams did whatever he pleased, whenever he pleased.

His parents never once said "no." Everything he wanted was handed to him on a silver platter, without hesitation and without consequence.

Naturally, he never learned to take responsibility for his actions. Strict parenting? He didn't know the meaning of it.

Yet, even someone like Williams had a soft spot. There was one person who managed to reach the better part of his heart: his childhood best friend, Sofi Levine.

Sofi came from a modest background. Her family lived simply, not rich, not poor, just enough to get by comfortably. Nothing fancy, but never lacking love.

She and Williams met by coincidence. Their families shared a close bond, so visits between the two households were frequent. From awkward introductions grew an unexpected friendship.

Over time, they became inseparable. Despite Williams' arrogant attitude and Sofi's wild, often explosive ideas, they somehow balanced each other out.

Sofi was everything Williams wasn't. Open-minded, warm-hearted, and delightfully chaotic. Her creativity could turn into a storm, but even at her worst, people adored her. Teachers, classmates, neighbors, almost everyone saw her as a genuine sweetheart.

One summer afternoon, she came over to the mansion during break.

"Williams! I'm here!" she shouted, her voice bright and full of energy as she stepped through the door.

"Finally. I thought you forgot how to get here," he replied, his tone flat and cold. Without even glancing at her properly, he turned and began walking, fully expecting her to follow.

He glanced back over his shoulder and saw her still removing her shoes.

"Hurry up, will you?" he barked impatiently, laced with a bit of sarcasm.

Williams was impatient by nature. He rarely showed respect to anyone, convinced that he was the one who deserved admiration, not the other way around.
