"She thinks she's brave now," Aisha said coolly, sipping her iced coffee. "She thinks she can just march in here and play the victim? Please."
Jackie nodded eagerly. "Everyone was staring though. Like… maybe she got through to Jessi or something."
"That's exactly what she wants," Aisha snapped, her voice low and dangerous. "To make me look like the bad guy. Poor little Lilly. Helpless. Weak. Crying in the bathroom. Ugh."
She slammed her cup down.
"Not happening."
Ashlin tilted her head. "So… what's the plan?"
Aisha leaned back in her chair, her red nails drumming against the plastic table.
