I watched as Mr Roberts walked in. Mr Roberts in Lorenzo's home? Why was he here ?
Lorenzo stood. "Good day, Mr Roberts. I wasn't expecting you."
"Lorenzo," he called out hoarsely. "I let you get away despite the fact that you hurt my daughter. You cheated on her and divorced her five years ago. Now, I don't know what game you are playing but it has got to stop. Laura is my only daughter and I want the best for her. She has moved on. So I advise that you move on too. And tell your wife to stay away from Laura. Or we'll have no choice but to get a restraining order."
"Mr Roberts," I called out. I had so much respect for him, not because he was a billionaire or the father of Laura but because he was a good man. I stood and walked to him. "I'm Paula," I said, stretching out my hand for a handshake.
"Laura mentioned you," he said, the angry look on his face slowly fading away.
"I'm glad to finally meet my best friend's father," I said, as he shook my hand.
