Chapter 7: Suspects Of Egg Thievery
Listening the words of City Lord Min I get a brief note of the situation.
—A boy with blue clothes having a symbol of roaring dragon in back. Came yesterday night and stole the fake Marnildo egg. And when he was escaping he have mistakenly shifted the tile from it's position. He went to stables and crossing the palace wall escaped with the fake Marnildo egg. The real egg isn't stolen but there are two main objectives.
1. They have to find the one who have betrayed them. In case they can betray them again.
2. They have to find the Marnildo who had hatched from it's egg and had flew away.
"So, am I out now?"
I asked.
"No, you are still under our investigation."
Butler Yi said.
"So, can I saw the site where before you had kept the Marnildo egg."
I asked the permission of Butler Yi. I want to investigate myself in any case there was any clue left behind.
"Are you asking for permission to investigate? Then ask your majesty."
Butler Yi lifted his hand towards City Lord Min. I bowed down in front of him with cupped fists. Isn't it a chinese culture, am I doing it right?
"Can I City Lord?"
"You have my permission. You can investigate. Butler Ho you will be incharge of the evidences and suspects they found. The court is now suspended."
City Lord Min said and by raising their hand they suspended the court.
'Hash-'
I sighed in relief. I was about to be imprisoned, but I came out from death door.

"You are clever young boy."
Shu Feng's voice echo in the dark place.
"Thanks, for your compliment."
I said.
City Lord, princess Qing and Varnilda left the court and Butler Ho come to me.
"I didn't expect this from you. Wasn't you a slum boy?"
Butler Ho smiled.
'If it wasn't for her big breasts. I would have shouted on her for this noble misunderstanding.' [1]

"It's just natural talent."
I ignored her and looked at Butler Yi.
"Take me to the place where the egg was."
"What do you think?! Am I your servant?!"
Butler Yi yelled at me.
"Come on old one, we have to investigate."
I said.
We went to the place where the Marnildo egg was kept before it's thievery. It was a bit different then before. The curtains were changed and the table was covered with a red table cloth.
I asked about it but they said it's for a disguise. So, they can confuse the betrayer. As they have only stolen the fake egg. So there is a chance that they would come again to stole the real one.
I step near a tile and picked it up. Under the tile there was a box shaped empty space. There was a little nest with a broken egg shell. The egg was majestic with golden veins like design on them.
'So it is the real egg of Marnildo. It seems like egg of Magical Beasts are different from normal one. I can sense energy from this egg.'
I pondered.
Meanwhile Butler Ho was shocked. Glaring at me with shining eyes, they pondered.
'I hadn't expected his memory to be this good. He found the tile without any guidance. Even I have to recognize it by only scarching it thrice so I could see it's materials. I have really found a precious boy. Even he hasn't a noble background as we thought. He is quiet useful.'
Butler Yi was also in shock.
'T-This boy…'
Meanwhile, I unaware of their thoughts about my talents. I was investigating the nest. My nose tingle, I was about to sneeze. But it was saved by holding it a little.
'I didn't sensed it before. Perhaps I wasn't noticing it well. But there is no memory of this smell. I think this is too cheap to be even smelled by Shu Feng. But who in the earth can use this perfume? Wait. This smell is similar of that one's I smelled from Butler Yi.'
I stood up and came out from my thoughts. Looking at Butler Yi, I asked.
"What's the name of the perfume you use?"
"What's it's relation with the case?"
Butler Yi seemed a bit annoyed.
"There is a smell of cheap perfume around this pit."
I pointed at the place where was the little nest. Butler Ho was surprised.
"Cheap perfume?!"
Butler Ho and Yi's eyes widened.
"Yes. Isn't it?"
I said.
'Why are they acting like I have kidnapped their wife and husband? I was surprised by their reaction till I understood what have I said. This perfume might be cheap enough for Shu Feng to not even know it's name. But for the people like them. This maybe cost their lifetime savings.'
I pondered and shook my eyes a little in realisation.
"Isn't this cheap for City Lord?"
I tried to calm down the situation and it worked a little.
"This perfume is the most precious one only patriarch and some authorized people under City Lord can buy this perfume."
Butler Yi stretched their arms to show off their perfume's fragrance. Their cloth was enough to cover their underarms even after they stretched their arms.
If it wasn't their cultivation which make them look younger I won't be able to look at that man.
"Brotherrr!…"
Butler Ho stared at Butler Yi. Butler Yi stopped flexing their underarms and looked away in realisation about what he was doing.
'Brother?'
I looked at them with tilting my head a little in confusion. Are they siblings or what?
Looking at my expressions Butler Ho exclaimed.
"He is my blood brother. There are two butlers in Royal Family. First is the royal butler which is my hrother. He get selected as Butler because of the pass down of position to the first son of the family. And second one is chosen on behalf of their skills, and I am the second one."
"You mean Butler Yi has no skills?"
I asked.
"You little-"
"King's son became king it doesn't everytime mean the king's son have no skills."
Butler Yi was about to mock me but Butler Ho interrupted by answering my question.
"Do anyone other than you use this perfume?"
I asked them.
"There are six people using this perfume. I and Ho. Patriarch of Shin, Chen and Danzig family. And the last one, our City Lord Min."
Butler Yi exclaimed.
"City Lord can't be the thieve, not even you and Butler Yi. Who is the most suspected in your eyes?"
I, putting my fingers under my face, pondering for a moment ask them. Butler Yi's gaze was stuck on me.
"E-Except me, Butler Yi."
I said, stuttering. How could I forgot this old man suspected me and even took me in court to prove it.
They pondered for a moment and then Butler Ho said.
"Patriach of Shin and Chen family. Mostly Shin family, who nowadays seems against the policies and decisions, City Lord wants to implement."
"What about Danzig family?"
I asked Butler Ho.
"Their patriarch was with City Lord Min and me while this happened. We were discussing on some military topics. Danzig family is our military alley."
Butler Yi said.
'Danzig family's patriarch was with City Lord. That makes them more suspected, as the patriarch let the thieve use their perfume and went to talk with City Lord so they might not get suspected. And it looks more like these evidences are left behind intentionally. But this all is my assumption, I have to check it myself. Firstly I have to inspect Shin and Chen family so if the Danzig family is the culprit, they might get relieved by seeing success of their plan.'
I turned to the door and said.
"Let's check the Shin family first."
