Chapter 12 - New people, Old hatred.

- After I saw people surrounded by some group that looked like they needed help I went to get close only to find out they were demons.

- I wanted to leave them but something deep down was telling me to help them because they are in need, I eventually got out of my hide and went to confront them.

- " Who are you? A human, what is a human doing in this forest? Kill him." Demons.

- Some of them shifted their focus on me and surrounded me, one of them was looking at me with a look down expression, until one of them started to run towards me.

- I immediately unsheathed my sword and killed him, and started to kill them one by one until I finished and went to help the others.

- After our victory, I went to talk to the other demons to know why they were fighting.

- " Sorry, but may I know why you were fighting? Leon.

- They told me their story, apparently these two had a good ranking in the demon king's army but they were framed for treason because they rejected people wanting to kill humans and start a war.

- In this world after what happened a decade ago, a hero defeated the demon king at that time demons and humans made a peace treaty to stop the never-ending war.

- There are still people wanting to start the war, both human and demon alike, fueled by old hatreds and new ambitions.

- The two demons I'd just saved, Milachi and Seraphina, were prime examples of those caught in the crossfire. Their faces, though still etched with fear, now held a flicker of hope, a surprising sight given my initial brutality.

- "Thank you," Seraphina rasped, her voice thin but earnest. "We thought... we were done for."

- I asked them what they were going to do now but as they answered I knew they had nowhere to go so I proposed.

- " How about coming with me to my house I can give you a place to you can call home and a work for you to live with but can I ask you a question? Leon.

- " What is it? Seraphina.

- "Come to my house," he offered, his voice a balm after the long trek. "I can offer you a place and a job."

- Seraphina, tired but curious, looked at him. "What kind of job?"

- Leon smiled. "This might sound odd, but does anyone here know how to do calculations? Advanced math, perhaps?"

- Seraphina and the other person exchanged a surprised glance. "Calculations?" Seraphina repeated, a hint of amusement in her voice. "Yes, I know how to do them. I was the head magician at an academy, and calculations were a big part of my training. Why do you ask, Leon?"

- Leon's face brightened with relief. "Perfect! So, you truly want a place to stay and a job?"

- "Absolutely," she confirmed. "But, if we go now, we'll leave others behind – people we met who have nowhere to go. Can we bring them too?"

- Leon thought for a moment, then nodded firmly. "Yes, of course. They can all come. The more the merrier, especially if they're willing to work."

- So, they went back and gathered the others. They walked until dark, finally reaching a lively settlement. The people there, Leon's neighbors, welcomed them warmly, helping them settle into homes.

- After a few days, everyone looked for work. I soon discovered something unique about their hosts: most of the demons in the community were alchemists.

- This gave Leon an idea. "Alchemists are great at making potions," remarked by Leon, "but we could also use their skills to make cosmetics." Leon remarked, His mind buzzed with the possibilities of combining their magic with new creations, a venture Leon seemed keenly interested in exploring further.

- They started to make potions that consists of. Healing, curing, dispelling, and stat boosting potions to add to the products.

- And in the process,I bought some cosmetics from my online store to show them to the other crew and help them make it.

- After many attempts it looked like they adapted to make it completely and in the next week we planned started our store.

- The grand opening was planned with meticulous care, a celebration of their collective ingenuity and a symbol of the burgeoning prosperity of their unique settlement.

- I assigned everyone to their places, and then our shop has opened.
