Chapter 33 - Uninvited Enemies

Who

Noor turned that way.

The thief was standing, looking furious. Four men and some women were also with him.

"Oh, it's you," Ria said.

"I finally found you, little guy," he said in a hostile tone.

"For what?" Noor frowned.

"For revenge." The thief clenched his fist.

"Seriously, you're going to fight these kids, my love?" a woman clinging to him said.

"I got no choice, my love. This bump on my head hurts."

He took off his hat—there was a red bump on top of his forehead.

Pfft… Noor and Ria cracked up.

"Oh my," Jenne covered her mouth elegantly.

"You will pay for making fun of me!" he yelled furiously.

"Leave it to us, boss. We dumped our date for this," a big guy said, cracking his knuckles.

Wait seriously? (Damn, these pickpockets are more loyal than some people.) Noor thought.

"Ha ha, Jenne look at the top of his forehead."

Ria was shaking; Jenne looked bored as usual.

"What's with those two weird girls? Hey, why are you weirdos lurking around this little kid? He looks old enough to be your little brother," the thief mocked.

"You should stay away from girls like this. They're dangerous, ha ha!" the thug group laughed.

"Hey! That's not right!" Ria pouted.

"We should go home," Jenne said, turning away.

(I mean they're not wrong though. Both Jenne and Ria are more than half a feet taller than me. Also they're dangerous. But they're making fun of me… I'm not letting that slide. They don't scare me more than what I've experienced. Come on Noor.)

Noor took off his coat. Under it he was wearing a half-sleeve t-shirt.

"Take this, Ria, and don't interfere." Noor gave the coat to her.

"Wait—what are you up to?" she was surprised.

"What are you doing?" Jenne also looked concerned.

"Don't worry, miss, just listen to me." Noor smiled.

"Oi! Don't you value your life?!" the thug yelled.

"There was once a person who said the same thing to me. I've never seen him since," Noor said, stretching for warm-up.

"If there a real man between you, please step forward," he added.

"Looks like the kid's got guts," the big one among the thugs stepped forward.

"Look kid, I'm not going easy on you," he said.

"We'll see." Noor smiled, locking in.

Their size comparison was ridiculous. The big guy was over 6'3", around 100kg.

And there was Noor—5'3", only 53kg, but ripped, biceps and triceps visible.

They stood facing each other for some seconds. The tension rose among both parties.

"Hahhhh!" The big one charged, throwing a punch.

Woosh. Noor moved slightly, dodging it, then—

Thwack.

Noor kicked the big guy's knee.

"Aaaah!"

Thump.

The big guy fell to the ground, screaming in pain.

Then—

Thud.

Smash.

"Urg—"

Noor threw a heavy punch into the guy's face before he could get up.

The guy got knocked out, bleeding from his nostrils.

"Oh my…" Jenne and Ria both were surprised.

"What the hell—he knocked him out in one hit!" the thug group panicked.

(Looks like the new move Suvro taught me works fine. He said it's the best move he learned to take down big guys.) Noor looked at his clenched fist, smiling.

"No matter. Number 2!" the thug ordered.

Another guy stepped in. He was around 6 feet, took a boxing stance, and charged at Noor without warning.

Woosh.

Tssh.

Fwip. Fwip. Fwip.

He threw rapid jabs before Noor could pick up his guard.

Fwish—

The jab passed by Noor's cheek.

Whoosh—Noor took a big step back.

(Phew, that was close. That guy looks trained.)

Noor picked up his guard, bouncing lightly on his feet.

"Let's play for a little time," Noor smirked.

Woosh—

Both stepped forward.

Fwip fwip

Fwip

Fwip

Swip

Swip

Fwish—

They unleashed a devastating jab exchange, dodging each other.

Fwish—

The opponent threw a heavy jab.

Shiff—

Noor shifted his bodyweight forward and ducked under the jab.

Then—

Thwack.

"Ack!"

Drops—

Noor connected a heavy uppercut onto his chin, knocking him straight as drops of blood flew upward.

"Anyone else?" Noor bounced lightly on his feet like he hadn't done anything.

"I am just getting started…" Noor's expression became creepy for a split second, his eyes going hollow.

"Eek—what's with that kid… he's dangerous. No, I'm not going," one thug said.

"Whatever! I'll have my revenge!" the thug leader rushed at Noor.

"Heh." Noor mocked him, smirking.

"You piece of shit!"

Fwish— he unleashed a 360 kick, jumping.

Woosh—

Wham.

Ack. Drops—

Before he could connect, Noor threw a 360 kick of his own mid-air, full force.

"My dear—!" the girl who was clinging to the thug cried.

(Oh, so they don't call themselves by names to protect their identity. Smart move.) Noor thought.

"I can't believe it… he knocked out three guys who can fight and are bigger than him without a scratch!" Ria said, covering her mouth.

"I also think the same. He also changed his fighting style in a second," Jenne said, crossing her arms.

"And we're done," Noor said dramatically.

"You—"

The thug leader pulled out a knife.

Whip—

He swung it at Noor.

Woosh—Noor dodged.

"Noor, move away!" Ria and Jenne warned him.

Before they could help—

Whip—

Tchk.

He attacked again. Noor got a small cut on his wrist. Blood dripped to the ground.

"Ouch…" Noor flinched.

Wham—

He punched the guy; he fell backward.

The knife flew from his hand.

"Hah, that's what you get for cheating in a fig—" Noor stopped.

He suddenly felt something wrong.

Jenne and Ria were looking down.

The ground beneath them was shaking.

Their eyes glowing heavily.

They clenched their fists.

Crack—

The ground started shattering from their aura.

"How dare that insect…" Jenne whispered.

"I will tear him apart…" Ria muttered.

"Eeeek!"

The thug group picked up their leader and the knocked men.

"Miss Jenne! Ria! Please stop!" Noor panicked, trying to calm them down.

"No, they're not listening…"

"HEY YOU GUYS, LISTEN!" Noor shouted at the thugs.

"If you want to live—RUN NOW!"

"Oh my god—if that little brat is this strong, how strong are the other two?!" the thug yelled, confused.

"We don't have time, boss! We need to run! They're about to charge!" one of his men trembled.

"Then what are you doing?!"

"RUN!"

"We're sorry!!!" the thug group yelled while running away.

Jenne and Ria were about to chase them, but Noor grabbed both of their hands, calming them.

"I'm fine," Noor said, sweating.

They glanced at his wound.

Ria kept it pressed so it wouldn't bleed more.

Skrrt—

Jenne ripped a part of cloth from Noor's coat and wrapped it around his wound.

"And Noor…"

Both of them stared at him angrily, eyes glowing.

"DON'T TRY TO BE A HERO NEXT TIME."

They said in sync.

"O… okay…" Noor gulped.
