Chapter 188 - CHAPTER 188:Gotei 13 Gathered in Team Seven!

Hinamori Momo and Kira Izuru had just finished their patrol and were returning toward the Seventh Division when the piercing siren of the Seireitei blared across the Court of Pure Souls. Both froze, faces tightening as a surge of overwhelming Reiatsu flooded the air—its source unmistakable.

"This spiritual pressure—Captain Shiraha! Something's wrong!" Hinamori gasped, her expression pale as she turned toward the Seventh Division's direction.

Without hesitation, she dropped the report she was holding and vanished with a flash of Shunpo.

"Hinamori! Wait!" Kira shouted, startled, but she was already gone.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, Kira spun to the nearby division members. "Squad Seven may be in danger! Follow me!"

"Yes, Fourth Seat Kira!" they replied, their faces grave.

Kira drew his Zanpakutō and used Shunpo, his figure blurring as he chased after Hinamori, with the others following in swift succession.

Sixth Division Barracks.

Byakuya Kuchiki stood across from Abarai Renji in the training court, the two locked in a silent exchange of speed and steel. As per Seireitei's regulations during peacetime, neither was allowed to release Zanpakutō; they fought using only base forms and pure Shunpo.

"Clang!"

Byakuya's blade sliced through the air, moving with elegant precision. Renji barely managed to parry, sparks flying as the impact forced him several meters back. His hands tingled from the force, fingers numbed.

"Renji," Byakuya said evenly, "your Shunpo is still too slow."

Renji grimaced, shaking off the numbness. "Captain, your strength's just unfair."

Before Byakuya could continue, the sirens split the air, followed by a wave of dense Reiatsu. The ground itself seemed to hum.

"The Seventh Division?" Byakuya murmured, his calm eyes narrowing. "That's Shiraha's Reiatsu."

Without another word, he sheathed his blade and vanished in a flicker of movement. Renji understood instantly and followed at once, his Shunpo trailing behind the Kuchiki heir's silhouette.

Eleventh Division Barracks.

Zaraki Kenpachi sat slouched in his chair, elbow on the armrest, chin in hand, eyes half-closed. Yachiru Kusajishi lay sprawled lazily beside him.

The moment the pressure hit, Kenpachi's grin spread slowly, his eye snapping open. "Heh. That's Kuchiki Shiraha's Reiatsu."

He stood, the floorboards creaking beneath his massive frame. "Yachiru! We're going. To the Seventh Division."

"Yay! I get to see little Shiraha again!" Yachiru cheered, springing up. She hopped onto Kenpachi's shoulder as he stepped out, the grin on his face growing sharper with every stride.

Eighth Division Barracks.

Kyoraku Shunsui and Ukitake Jūshirō sat across from each other on futons, sake cups in hand. Nanao Ise stood nearby, silent, a book tucked under one arm.

Then the alarm shook the still air.

Jūshirō's brow furrowed as he set down his cup. "Shunsui… that Reiatsu. It's Shiraha's, and it's coming from the Seventh Division."

"Ah, it seems our young Captain has stirred up something interesting again," Shunsui said with a faint smile beneath the brim of his straw hat.

Even from such a distance, both captains could feel the magnitude of the pressure. It wasn't far from their own level.

"Well then, Jūshirō, Nanao—shall we go take a look?" Shunsui said lightly as he rose, sliding the hat back over his eyes.

In the next instant, all three disappeared with Shunpo.

The alarm's wail echoed across the Seireitei. Every captain, lieutenant, and seated officer could feel the shockwave of Shiraha's spiritual power.

At the First Division Headquarters, the old General Commander Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni opened his eyes, a sharp glint flashing beneath his heavy brows.

"Summon all captains to the Seventh Division," he ordered. Chōjirō Sasakibe bowed and moved instantly to carry out the command.

Confusion spread through the ranks of patrolling Shinigami.

"What happened?!"

"The Reiatsu's coming from the Seventh Division!"

"Don't tell me—it's another Ryoka invasion?"

The memory of the last infiltration, the defection of three captains, and the chaos that followed had not yet faded. Now another massive spiritual disturbance was surging through the Court of Pure Souls, accompanied by the blaring alarm. Tension spread like wildfire.

Fifteen Minutes Later.

With the exceptions of the vacant Third and Fifth Division captaincies, every captain had assembled outside the Seventh Division barracks. The Reiatsu emanating from within was so intense that even veteran captains hesitated to enter. The unseated members of those divisions remained at a safe distance, awaiting orders.

One by one, the captains and their vice-captains arrived—until finally, Yamamoto Genryūsai himself appeared with Sasakibe at his side.

Inside the dojo, Shiraha stood at the center, his figure engulfed by spiraling bands of purple and blue Reiatsu. The sheer pressure rolling off him made the air quake. Even Yamamoto's gaze hardened as he studied the young captain within the storm.

The others could feel it too. Shiraha's Reiatsu—dense, vibrant, alive—was now comparable to that of Kyōraku Shunsui and Ukitake Jūshirō.

"This pressure…" Renji muttered, struggling to steady his stance. "What's happening to Captain Shiraha?"

Byakuya's expression barely shifted, but his eyes lingered on Shiraha with quiet unease.

Most of the vice-captains present had already gone pale, their bodies trembling beneath the suffocating weight of Shiraha's spiritual power. Only Yachiru, Renji, and Sasakibe remained composed—though even they felt the crushing tension in the air.

If Shiraha hadn't restrained his Reiatsu from targeting them directly, they would have collapsed outright.

"Shunsui," Jūshirō asked, his voice low, "do you have any idea what's happening to him?"

"Ahh, Jūshirō," Shunsui replied with a half-smile, pressing his hat down slightly, "if I didn't know better, I'd say the old man might finally get to retire early. Remember that method—the one for amplifying Reiatsu in a short burst?"

"You mean… Shiraha's attempting Bankai?" Jūshirō's eyes widened, shock flashing across his face.

As Shiraha stood within the swirling torrent of light and pressure, he sensed them all—every captain gathered outside. His Observation Haki confirmed it.

The commotion's big enough already, he thought calmly. Time to bring this to an end.
