Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 12

Nyra's POV:

"It's my turn to attack, be on guard, Nyra!" He commanded.

With a swift nod, I also took a defensive stance, just then I heard a gust of wind brushed past my eyes as his right arm came flying like a stray bullet.

I hurriedly put my arms in front of my eyes anticipating his attack, but instead I felt a sharp pain at the side of my stomach.

I felt pain ringing in my brain as I crouched down to the floor slowly while holding the sides of my stomach I couldn't bear to keep my body up.

"You tricked me." I looked at him with pain evident in my eyes.

"I told you to be alert." he said looking down at me as I clutched my hands to the side of my stomach.

I won't accept defeat like this! I sobered up as the pain soon subsided and I stood up to face him again even though I wasn't healed yet.

He continued his attacks, and my movement was becoming slow as I could feel my strength dissipating. He attempted to punch my chest but I was quick to notice his movement as I put my arms in front of my chest and the next moment the force was transmitted through my arms to my whole body.

I took two staggered steps backward, a tingling pain came from my arm. His strength was far more stronger than I had anticipated!"

He continued to attack me and I greeted my teeth as I streamed to resist while slick down my forehead and my arm trembled.

We exchanged several attacks and defenses after that. I found that my attacks had little to know impact on him as he stood still like a rock, but his attacks on me were very hard for me to keep up with.

He didn't give me any chance to catch my breath.

At this moment, I felt a high blow across my shoulder that sent me crashing on the floor with great force. I tried to get myself to stand up but my strength gave up on me.

I accepted defeat.

"You have great resistance, you held on even when I thought you would give up. As for your strength, you are just at beginners level."

"It's already time for lunch, we would continue our training session tomorrow, hope you would be able to make it?"

I know that silently as I looked up at him.

Kael came at me today with all his strength and I was able to study his mode of attacks and defenses, tomorrow sure would be different.

Zevian's POV:

I couldn't get any sleep as I found it hard to keep my eyes closed, those emerald eyes haunted my dreams, those eyes that seem to be filled with sadness on innocence. I don't know what it is but something keeps urging me to replace the sadness with peace.

How can I give out what I don't have? How can darkness itself remit light? All these thoughts filled my mind as I stood absent-minded.

Before I came in contact with her, my life was organized and I was okay with the way I lived, but now all I want to do is watch through my plans of revenge just to make sure she comes out unscathed from the Alpha's villa.

My mind traveled back to the time we met in the forest, I remembered how my eyes lingered at the nape of her neck, and how my gum itched from wanting to mark her as my mate immediately to let the heavens know she was mine.

But I still can't get myself to accept her as mate, she's just too weak and naive. If she couldn't defend herself from being taken as a captive then how would she defend my pack someday when she is Luna?

All these thoughts rushed through my mind as I stared blankly at the training equipment in front of me.

I needed no extra training to improve my strength as I, the first son and direct bloodline to the previous Alpha of the shadow moon pack is stronger then all the warriors of the Shadow moon combined, with the blood of my father surging through my veins, but I had to keep a low profile to keep my plans in motion, and has the right time I would review myself to my people.

Suddenly, my ears began picking little vibrations as murmurs of the warriors were heard at every corner of the building, what could cause the warriors to talk in hushed tones not minding being distracted from their training?

My ears caught on too little of what they were saying and I was able to grab the main word. "A woman?"

I have never heard of a lady stepping foot inside the walls of the training ground. No lady would pick interest in a place such as the training ground. I subconsciously translate my head to look at the mysterious woman only to find out that it was HER!

"Her again?!"

I saw her eyes filled with determination as she held her head up high, what was she trying to prove by doing this? She can't be here to train with the warriors she would get herself injured for no Just cause.

I spotted one of the warriors walking up to her, she seemed not to pay much attention to him, but after talking for a while, he stretched forth his hands for a handshake while she reluctantly accepted.

I was at the far end of the building, quite a distance from where they stood so I couldn't make out what they were saying, but could clearly watch their movements.

I watched as she stood still preparing herself for attack, she attempted to hit him on the chest with he dodged easily with little effort, she couldn't even position her body well for a proper fight.
