"What's going on?" Natalie interrupted, stepping between them. "What's Elizabeth doing here?"
"I called her," Ross said.
"What for?"
"To make sure I broke up with his uncle," Susan answered. "I had decided to, anyway."
"I'm not sure I like you," Natalie said, looking at Ross.
"I thought I made the right decision."
"You remind me of someone. Tall. Blue eyes. Stubborn."
"If you're going to call me a self-righteous jerk, your husband already beat you to it."
"Good for him."
"Stop this." Susan rubbed her temples. "I'd like to go home."
"I'll drive you," offered Ross.
"No."
"We need to talk."
"No, we don't."
"Yes, we do."
"Children," Natalie intoned. She sent Susan a questioning look. "You look like hell. Maybe you should let Ross take you home."
"I should revoke your best friend status." Susan glanced at the still kissing couple. "You think they'll come up for air soon?"
Natalie laughed. "Unlikely."
Ross' gaze captured hers, but Susan looked away. Damn him.
