Shadow Storm – The Story of a Turkish Girl and a Greek Boy

The origins of the Turks and Greeks go back a long way. There has been an ongoing enmity passed down from the mortal world — a conflict born of ancestral lines we no longer know, from bloodlines shrouded in mystery. We migrated here in 1980. Simply because we couldn’t live an ordinary life like the others, our own people turned their backs on us. The name of this continent we were exiled to from our ancestral lands is Atlantis — one of the two lost continents of what is now called Earth. Here, some things feel up in the air — something is off. Maybe if I weren’t so young, I could uncover the mystery of this land I can’t quite understand. I can’t stop thinking about it. It’s as if something is missing, or perhaps something isn’t being told the way it truly is. I thought about this again as the sun was setting. While we were clinking our diet colas together, laughing and joking with one another, I was overcome by a feeling hard to describe. A strong sense that soon, this unity and togetherness will shatter, and everything will spiral out of control — the other side of the coin. As time goes on, Aris will face certain obstacles, and in time, he will discover whether these obstacles are the spark of a love ignited by hatred — or the ashes left behind by that same hatred.
