Chapter 16 - I want to be a star

Everyone was training in the open yard.

Nahru:"It's my turn to fight Ryan. Damian, step back!"

Ryan:"No. Now I'm going to fight Isobel."

Isobel: "Ah, okay."

Nahru:"Oh, come on…"

Damian: "Nahru, fight me instead."

Nahru: "Okie dokie."

As the sparring continued, Juliet stood at a distance, quietly observing. Her eyes dimmed with uncertainty.

"They're all amazing... and then there's me. I'm not even sure if I truly want to fight. What if it's not who I really am?"

Damian noticed her expression. He stepped out of the match, walked over, and sat beside her.

Damian: "Wanna share what's on your mind?" he asked gently.

Juliet: "Ah… no, I'm fine. I'm just confused. Maybe I need more time to think."

Damian: "Of course. Take all the time you need. When your mind is clear, you'll figure it out."

Later, after training ended, everyone went home.

In Juliet's room, a knock came at the door.

Voice: "Dear, can I come in?"

Juliet: "Yes, Mom…"

Her mother stepped inside with a soft smile.

Juliet's Mom:"Juliet, come eat. And don't forget to continue your training afterward."

Juliet: "Mom, can I ask you something?"

Mom:"Of course."

Juliet:"Why do you always push me so hard when it comes to fighting? You never pressured me this way with schoolwork. You just told me to study… but this—this feels different."

Her mom sat beside her, gently brushing her hair back.

Juliet's Mom: "Because you chose this path, Juliet. My opinion doesn't matter when it comes to your dream. If this is what you love, then I support you completely. If I didn't... you'd feel alone, like you're carrying everything by yourself. No matter how kind the world may seem, if a child doesn't feel supported at home, they start to break."

She paused.

Mom:"That's why I convinced your father to let you train. And look at him—he trains you every day, because we believe in you. You have supportive parents, Juliet. So don't lose hope."

Juliet threw her arms around her mother, hugging her tightly, tears flowing.

Juliet:"Mom… I'm stuck. I need time to think."

Mom:"It's okay, dear. Let's think through it—together."

Meanwhile, at the secret base…

Isobel scanned her screen.

Isobel: "Yes… another one."

She called everyone over. They all gathered—except for Juliet.

Nahru: "Where's Juliet?"

Damian: "I called her. She apologized and asked us to understand. She's not ready yet."

Isobel looked down, her heart heavy with concern.

Ryan: "Let her be. She'll come… definitely."

His voice carried calm confidence.

Damian:"Alright. Shadow already found the trail. We can't afford to wait."

Isobel: "Okay…"

She agreed, but deep down, she wished they could wait just a bit longer.

Outside a rusting metal factory…

Damian: "This is the place. Let's go in."

Meanwhile, back at the base, Juliet sat in her room, eyes on the poster above her bed. Her childhood dream stared back at her.

Juliet: "Look how fast I grew up… When I was a kid, I wanted to be an idol. I wanted to shine."

She smiled sadly, lost in thought.

Juliet: "I remember my brother used to tell me, 'You'll change your path when you grow up.' And I'd yell at him every time."

She chuckled lightly.

Juliet:"But maybe… maybe I can still be a star."

She remembered Ryan's words:

Ryan:"You know, Juliet… you're already a shining star.

Inside the metal factory…

The group advanced cautiously.

Suddenly, metal chains shot out from the wall, wrapping tightly around Isobel's arm.

Isobel:"Wait—what just happened?!"

Nahru: "Hold on! I'll break it!"

He ran forward, but his legs were suddenly trapped by chains emerging from the ground.

Nahru: "What… what's happening?!"

Damian: "Stop moving! Stay calm!"

As he reached out to help Nahru, he pushed him—

Damian: "You idiot!"

—and was immediately caught as well.

Ryan scanned the area. His eyes narrowed.

"There are metal scratches floating in the air… So if we touch them, we get trapped."

Isobel:"Guys—we can't use our powers because of this…"

Nahru: "Yeah, I tried opening a chamber to escape—and now part of my body is stuck in between dimensions!"

Isobel gasped as she looked at him.

Nahru: "Don't worry—it's not hurt. Just stuck."

Damian: "And now, because of you, I'm stuck too!"

Ryan examined one of the floating metal marks.

"So all I need is to tauched this."

He reached out—and touched one.

Damian: "No way… Now only Ryan can free us—"

All Together:"WHAT?! You got stuck too?!"

Ryan: "Don't worry. Juliet's still out there. Even if she's not fighting… if someone takes the scroll, she'll come for us."

Damian:"You're way too calm…"

Back at the base…

Juliet stared at the scroll's tracker.

Juliet: "Maybe I should wait for them…"

A voice called from behind.

Voice:"No. Go after them."

She turned quickly.

Juliet:"Master Shun…"

Shun:"They've been caught. Go and protect them."

Juliet: "Me? Alone…?"

Shun: "Yes, you."

His gaze sharpened, voice filled with quiet command.

Shun: "You dream of reaching the stars—but you're afraid to take the first step alone?"

His words hit her like lightning—just like last time.

She stood up, determination growing in her chest.

Juliet: "I understand, Master. I'm going."

As she turned to leave, Shun reached out and stopped her. She looked back.

He placed a gentle hand on her head.

Shun:"Juliet… you don't even realize how far you'll go. Just keep fighting with courage—and be the courage others need. The journey won't be easy, but it will be worth it."

Tears welled in her eyes, but she smiled through them.

Juliet: "Yes, Master…"

She took a deep breath, stepping forward with renewed strength.

Juliet: "Guys… wait for me. I'm coming."
