Naro had done it. He awakened.
But at what cost? His brother's life?
Naro didn't know if he should be happy or even more depressed.
"You can't bring him back with tears. What class did you awaken?" Henga asked, curious what that fragment had carried with it.
Naro looked back at the hologram:
[Name: Naro Sahar]
[Class: None – can be changed]
[Skills: Future Sight – 5 Star]
[Whal's Fragments: 1/1]
"It says... I can change my class?"
Naro was confused. He had never heard of anyone being able to change their class—let alone choose one.
After Henga heard that, he was baffled. But then he almost jumped with happiness.
"Kid, I don't know how you can get your class. Maybe you need to do a temple's trial. But you just gave me hope that I won't be stuck with my Berserker class forever!"
Henga was really happy. He hated being a Berserker—he had always wanted to be a Swordsman.
Naro was kind of shocked. Henga was one of the strongest Berserkers worldwide. There were only two other 6-Star Berserkers.
"Uh... that's surprising."
"Does it say how you can change your class?" Henga asked, now extremely curious.
Naro clicked on the prompt—and then—
He found himself in a void.
He panicked. Where was up? Where was down? Where was he?
After he calmed down, realizing that there was no danger, he looked around more carefully. Different star signs floated around him. Whenever he looked at one, it began to glow a little stronger. He felt like space itself was shrinking.
The stars drew closer and began to rearrange into words—something Naro could understand.
...
[You have chosen
[ERROR]
[Due to the power from the God of Fate, you have been given the title: Apostle of Fate]
[Secondary Class Unlocked: Fate-Weaver]
"What the hell just happened?" Henga saw Naro disappear and reappear in a matter of seconds.
"I don't know... but I'm an archer now," Naro said, still confused. He'd never heard of anything like what had just happened.
"Henga... have you ever heard of something called a secondary class?"
"No. Why? Don't tell me…" Henga's eyes widened.
"Yes. It's called Fate-Weaver."
Naro first thought he should keep it secret—but maybe Henga could help him understand.
"Dude, I got a very stupid idea," Henga said with a grin growing on his face.
"How about we go conquer a world together? We can find out what you can do and you'll get some raid experience."
"Uhm... isn't that a bit sudden?" Naro asked. There were too many things happening. His brother was dead. He had awakened. Now one of the strongest Berserkers wanted to raid with him?
"Don't worry. We can bring some people along. But I thought you might want to keep your class a secret," Henga said thoughtfully.
Then it clicked.
"You surely want revenge on the Flying Lions, don't you?" Henga's grin turned wicked.
"Yeah... Oh shit. You're not—"
"And how. Imagine we conquer Lietanar—and with all the stuff we get, we rough up their Guildmaster a bit."
Henga had some beef with that idiot anyway. It wasn't a problem for him.
The plan was set. Tomorrow, some mage friends of Henga would open a portal to Lietanar, and they would try to raid both temples. If they succeeded, Henga figured he could reach 7 Stars—and Naro might level up too.
Henga estimated Naro as a 5-Star, not by raw power, but because his skill Future Sight was an extremely high-ranked 5-Star skill. Even though Naro wasn't an Oracle. He also had the combat skill Hunter's Eye, which allowed him to aim with deadly precision.
Naro laid in his bed, crying. Yes, his dream had finally come true. But... his brother was dead.
A loss he would give anything to reverse.
Nilo wouldn't want him to drown in despair—so Naro tried to focus on tomorrow.
After staring at the ceiling for what felt like hours, he finally drifted off to sleep.
The next day, Henga stood at his door, visibly excited.
"Are you ready? Our mages are already at the military base."
Portals always needed to be opened at official military bases to prevent civilians from entering.
Naro was ready. Together with Henga, he drove to the base.
There they were—six mages, already opening the portal.
Then Naro saw a man running toward them.
"Henga, I know you're strong—but just the two of you? That's way too risky," the man said, looking at Naro with judging eyes.
"It's basically suicide."
Henga waved it off.
"We already talked about this, Ivan. And trust me—don't judge a book by its cover."
They walked toward the portal. By now, a huge crowd and some news reporters had shown up.
"Two people want to raid Lietanar? Are they crazy?" most of them were saying.
Naro was nervous. This would be his first time stepping into another world.
They stepped through the portal.
On the other side was Lietanar—a beautiful planet.
Large mountains. From their peaks, you could look down upon a colorful forest.
Naro was astonished.
"This is supposed to be a dying world? Why does it look so... alive?"
Henga told him that not every "dying" planet was actively dying. Some were early in collapse. There were many reasons why a world could be doomed.
Lietanar was dying because of the gods.
There had once been life here—similar to humans. But they lost the war against the gods.
"The first temple isn't far from here. Let's go," Henga said. He had explored this world a few months ago.
"The temple is halfway down this mountain, hidden in a cave. Last time, we didn't have a chance to go in, so I can't tell you what's waiting."
"Henga… before we go in there. Last night I found out I have to change to my Fate-Weaver class to unlock its abilities. But if I do, I won't be able to use any of my archery skills."
"Just swap—we got this. Maybe you'll even save my ass with that class," Henga said with a laugh.
With that reassurance, Naro swapped classes.
[Name: Naro Sahar]
[Class: Fate-Weaver]
[Skills: Future Sight – 5 Star]
Fate Shift – 10 Star]
They climbed down the mountain, half way Henga told him to stop. "We are here."
Naro used his Future Sight skill as planned.
He saw Henga... die!?
