Chapter 9 - Chapter 7: The Master's Challenge

Rin walked confidently down the corridor toward Miss Calli's office. Her heart was pounding, but not with fear—with anticipation. Claiming Miss Calli wouldn't be easy.

Unlike others, Calli was untouchable—a former elite combatant, a nexus-flame user, and the very woman who had taught Rin to control her flames.

She was stronger than Rin.

Stronger than Foxey.

Still… Rin grinned.

"I love a challenge."

---

Inside the office, Calli was reviewing reports when the door burst open—again.

"Miss Calli~!" Rin sang, sauntering in without a care.

Calli didn't even flinch.

She stood up slowly—6 feet tall, built like a war goddess, eyes glowing red with a deep annoyance that could melt bones. Her presence alone made the air heavy… and it made Rin's omega instincts shiver.

Calli's voice was cold.

"Rin. How many times do I have to tell you—knock."

Rin smirked. "Mehh~ You know why I'm here."

Calli's gaze sharpened—predatory, lethal.

"Watch your mouth, Rin," she said. "Before I burn you alive and forget that you're Sister Amna's daughter."

Rin summoned flames to her fists and dropped into a stance.

"Taming my master will be spicy and delicious."

Without a word, Calli reached out—and absorbed Rin's flames straight from her fists.

Silence.

"…Oh, come on! That's cheating!" Rin whined. "Just be my alpha already! I've already marked Foxey, and she's completely fine with it. I swear I'll take good care of you too~"

Calli blinked. For a moment, she actually looked… surprised.

"You marked Foxey?" she repeated flatly. Then her tone turned sharp. "And you expect me to share an omega with another alpha? No, Rin. Absolutely not."

Rin pouted. "Fiiine. Be that way. Guess we're doing this the old way."

With that, Rin dropped a shimmering crystal on the ground.

It shattered, releasing a golden smoke that swallowed the room. The surroundings shifted—when the smoke cleared, they were standing in a wide, misty valley, filled with lakes and waterfalls. The air was humid, the ground slick with water.

Calli raised an eyebrow.

"A water-based arena? Trying to weaken my flames?"

Rin licked her lips. "Can't wait for that threesome after I mark you, Master~"

Calli's eye twitched. "You idiot. Your ability is fire too. You're also in a disadvantage—especially against me."

Rin just grinned. "Oh, I'm not alone."

Calli stiffened.

"…What?"

Rin shouted, "FOXEY! RIGHT NOW!!"

From above, Calli suddenly sensed it—an immense charge in the atmosphere.

She looked up.

Foxey, cloaked in a vortex of storm clouds, had already gathered power. Her eyes crackled with lightning.

"Sorry, Miss Calli," she said, voice filled with regret. "I didn't have a choice."

"LIGHTNING—KILO VOLT!!!"

The sky split open.

A massive Red thunderbolt surged down from the heavens, striking directly at Calli with devastating force.
