Chapter 2 - Nightmare Begins (2)

Their swords cut the air with a whistle that severed both arms muscular of the colossus by the half.

The blood blue that sprouted like a fountain unholy, splattered the air and the floor, while the monster emitted a shriek deafening, a sound that tore the air as if a thousand knives sharp were stabbing into the ears and were piercing the brains.

The floor, already cracked and full of debris of battles previous, soaked itself with pools of blood that extended themselves like veins dark of an organism that was agonizing.

Despite its wounds, the monster was continuing being threatening, its arms were extended like a crucifix grotesque and its legs were continuing still trapped in the ice while it was struggling desperately to free itself.

At its feet, the floor was fractured in points multiple, with craters small that were marking where its attacks had struck with the force capable of pulverizing steel.

Around the giant, the bodies of his companions were lying motionless, some with clothes torn and armors shattered that were offering protection none, others with expressions frozen of pain or surprise that would remain thus for the eternity.

The blood was splattering their faces pale and was accumulating beneath them, while the weapons like swords, shields, and spears were lying scattered.

"It stopped moving! Do not give it time to recover!" shouted someone from the crowd. "Let's finish with this together!"

The eight figures that emerged from their positions and surrounded the monster simultaneously.

Warriors, knights, and assassins were moving with a speed superhuman that was defying the speed of the sound, while mages, sorcerers, and priests were preparing spells that illuminated the chamber with flashes of light multicolored.

They were giving it all, were putting their lives at risk to end with the creature once and for all, sacrificing all for the victory.

"Not yet! Do not rush!" roared Arceus, furious.

The rage indescribable that was burning in his interior, made that the veins of his neck and forehead swelled themselves under the pressure.

Nothing was coming out as he had expected.

Suddenly, from the arms severed of the monster sprouted tentacles multiple, each one of a blue pale and translucent that was pulsing with life own.

The tentacles deployed themselves with the speed of a whip in a rain torrential of blood.

The creature swung its arms mutilated, and a dozen of tentacles launched themselves toward them at a speed supersonic that provoked bursts sonic multiple, closing the distance in an instant.

In the center of this massacre, the head of a man of hair black flew through the air, cut in a fraction of second, while the blood that sprouted was painting the floor of red. The others remained trapped in a net of tentacles writhing and flexible.

The appendages twisted themselves like titanoboas that were feeding on flesh human, that crushed and tore with a fury relentless that was knowing no mercy.

A warrior, with the face hidden under a hat of straw tattered, wielded his sword with fury savage that was bordering on the despair, cut the air and left a trail of blood that splattered in all directions like a work of art disturbing.

Around him, the fighters were falling one after another like pieces of domino. One knelt, with a gash deep in the chest that was revealing the beat glistening of his organs internal.

Another was maintaining himself on foot with difficulty, his hand right enveloped in a ball of fire orange that illuminated briefly his features hardened by the pain.

Arceus retreated rapidly and was gasping while his lungs were fighting for oxygen.

He dodged the tentacles that were raining around him like eels carnivorous frenzied. His armor was dented in places various, and blood was dripping from a wound deep in his shoulder.

"Idiots, you should not have let yourselves be carried away!" shouted Eric, positioned behind Raymond.

The survivors were surprised while they were contemplating the monster with the pupils dilated by the fear visceral and the awe paralyzing.

Their eyebrows arched were reflecting disbelief, their mouths half-open and lips trembling were betraying an anxiety that was growing exponentially with each second that was passing.

However, despite the fear that was consuming them, all were ready to attack at any moment, clinging to the hope faint of surviving this floor.

"Retreat, all you," said Arceus, advanced while he was wielding his spear in the hand right. "If we advance without thinking, the only thing that we will achieve is to increase unnecessarily the number of corpses. I will take care of this."

[Attribute private activated: The man who overcame the adversity]

Arceus activated his attribute private, conscious of its limitations severe and the price terrible that his body would pay if he exceeded the limit of time established.

By experience bitter in battles past, he knew that its effect would last exact ten minutes before that the consequences terrible began to manifest themselves in his body like a poison that was acting slowly.

Without more delay, he launched himself forward, direct toward the heart beating of the giant.

The tentacles descended upon him like predators voracious that had been waiting patiently that he approached enough to tear him apart.

Each tentacle that was descending produced a whistle sharp and terrifying.

Although none struck him due to his speed superhuman, the wind displaced by the waves of shock cut his skin exposed, and left lines red fine that were burning with intensity great, reminding him that the death was lurking at any moment.

Arceus leaped to dodge the dozen of tentacles that were falling like guillotines hungry for blood human.

Each impact left craters deep in the floor of stone, and the air itself vibrated with the force tremendous of the appendages that crashed against it.

He seized a moment fleeting in the defense, and sank the spear in one of the tentacles main, the resistance viscous of the flesh unnatural clung itself to his weapon.

The appendage divided itself with a sound wet, writhed itself on the floor like a creature independent and autonomous, still alive even after being severed from the body main.

These tentacles, of more than twenty meters of long, were incredibly resistant and were moving at a speed ridiculous, his body could be torn apart in an instant at any moment.

The time was his enemy most dangerous; if he delayed too much in finishing with this, he would not resist the consequences.

With an explosion sudden, he kicked the floor cracked and moved himself in a blur of speed that left images residual, dodging without effort the dozen of tentacles that were moving around him.

In less than a second, he was before the monster. The creature, prey of the panic, began to charge an attack magical from its mouth cavernous.

At less than three meters of distance, the quantity of energy that was accumulating felt itself too frightful.

He had no doubts: if that attack struck him, not even his ashes would remain to mark his existence.

"Arceus!" he heard that someone was shouting from behind.

The monster unleashed its attack, and the chamber shook itself as if a meteorite had impacted directly.

A light blinding extended itself through the space, accompanied by a cloud of dust that darkened completely the vision.

The roar was deafening, as if had fallen an earthquake that shook with violence the chamber from its foundations until its ceiling.

While the dust was settling, revealed itself a crater of more than twenty meters of radius in the center of the chamber.

For eyes not trained, it might not seem much, but only was possible because the chambers of the Tower of Paradise were designed to be extremely resistant, capable of withstanding even the attacks of monsters boss like this.

Arceus was head down, clinging to the ceiling of the chamber at more than ten meters of height, observed the crater of more than three meters of depth that had formed.

The giant swung its tentacles through the air, searching for its prey lost among the dust and the debris.

Without wasting an instant, he launched himself to the floor like an arrow human. The creature was with its back, and by the time it finally felt his presence, already was too late for any defense.

He concentrated the part greatest of his energy stellar in his arm, infused the spear with a glow that formed a blade of three meters of long from its tip, a blade of light stellar.

He let his weapon descend from the air like a building demolished that cut the space with a force unstoppable.

His spear pierced the body of the giant from the head toward down, split it in half with a cry tearing that echoed like a lament tragic.

The force of the impact cracked the floor to three meters of depth, while a storm of blood blue rained around him.

The body of the monster boss collapsed with a crash thunderous that shook the chamber.

"Well done!"

"Finally it ended!"

"We achieved it! We defeated it!"

The survivors, cautiously gathered around the crater smoking, burst into cheers. Their voices were full of a relief deep and an exhaustion extreme.
