The car slowed into a stop, as the cops pulled Atlas over.
He rolled down the windows, and waited for them to come to him.
"Atlas, please don't make things worse than they already are," Theo pleaded with him.
However, Atlas was way past the point of caring about the law. Not when it couldn't take any immediate actions in finding a missing person.
"I thought I recognised the pattern of behaviour," Officer Ben said. "Atlas Sinclair." He moved closer so they could see him.
"Officer Ben," Atlas replied dryly.
"Let me guess? Late meeting? Business purpose? Dad needs an important file? What excuse do you have this time for driving so recklessly and endangering the lives of everyone on the road?"
"I reported my fiancée being missing, and they're asking me to wait in line with the laws. I decided to take care of it myself. As you can see, I'm looking for the van the kidnapers took her away in," he said.
"Yo, everything alright over there, Charming?"
