Amaia stared upwards at the vat tank filled with water, the bubbling and azure liquid moving about. Through the advanced machinery and delicately crafted alloy laid a being behind bullet-proof glass, one that possessed flowing white hair that cascaded across the scenery. It was akin to that of a renaissance painting from the Golden Age of Iberia, given form in the standing and material world.
However, the person was as far from Iberia as she could be, that the Liberi woman knew. A race of people, rich with tradition and culture unknown to anybody, casting themselves in isolation within the sea. Yet at the same time, they were one of the most affluent and technologically advanced countries on the entire planet.
Perfection, they were the epitome of perfection. Or rather... that was how they viewed themselves from Amaia's view, fickle beings who most likely indulged themselves in hypocrisy and pushed all others away. In front of her was the very being of the lost country's art and tapestry, the love and passion dedicated to the underwater cities aligning the ocean floors.
Break it.
Shatter it.
Amaia wished to tear down this seeming avatar of all which Aegir held; the pitiful, sacrificial and 'noble' warrior that held a steadfast martyr-like fervor. But not yet, she could not do such a thing yet. She needed to learn more, more about the cities that laid under the copious layers of water pressure, constantly pressing down on them. The cities which withstood such a malignant pressure from the sea for so long, and so naturally.
It was only a matter of time, anyway. The infinite evolutionary opportunities and possibilities present within the path she had taken... was unstoppable in all senses of the word. A force of nature that was never unheeding, waiting to be awoken and to spread its great presence all across Terra.
"Your excellency..." an ordained voice of reverence called out to the black haired Liberi, making the woman break her gaze off of the enlarged vat. "...There are matters pertaining to... Sal Viento, the Bishop there wishes to speak with you." They kept a measured structure with their sentence, as if choosing their words as carefully as possible.
Amaia knew it was something else however, one completely out of their control. "I see... What are these matters?" The woman crossed her arms, slightly peeved that she couldn't carry out... questioning and other experiments with the woman in the tank. "If it relates to our test subject, then I believe I've already been given full lead of this, no?"
"The Bishop of Sal... Viento wishes to discuss other matters," the robed man elaborated further. "It is of no relation to our... subject, his excellency has long since forgone such interests." His fingers were decrepit, held out and holding each other while he spoke. An utterly pale complexion, incomparable to the other decrepit which resided in the laboratory.
"Strange," Amaia said in a pondering posture, "hm, I see, I do not believe it would be wise to stall this matter..." her gaze turned to the white haired woman in the tank once more. "...Keep the subject wistfully in her dreams, stray away from any more 'comparisons' until I come back."
The 'subject' was going to be moved to Gran Faro, where her main stay truly was. The woman in the vat tank was merely in Primavera for a small length of time before being moved, since the aforementioned city of Gran Faro was being flooded with the Inquisition. Once the matter had died down—as it did, the Liberi woman would bring her little subject back.
"As you command," the robed man bowed their head, fully understanding. There was no need to go against one of their eventual kin's words, after all. The thinking and logic was done by humans, the instinct and primality was done by—
"Oh, and one more thing," Amaia was just about to take a step to leave, but turned back to the priest in front of her. "You've been quite well acquainted with your 'brethren' have you not?" The Liberi asked a rhetorical question, not expecting them to answer back.
Surprisingly, he did, "it is... of my own temperance in which I make my own choices. The sea... it sings to me, and I pray... I pray to sing back..." his voice was filled with more passion and fervor than before, breaking away from the croaking and despondentness from before.
"Peculiar," Amaia tilted her head, a small glint within her eyes. "While I do wish to study this matter of your choices much further, there is nothing else for me to do here. Please do heed my commands as properly as possible," the Liberi woman turned away with those last words, turning off to the darkness.
The priest watched the woman's departure, before turning to the vat. Originium experiments, features of the land that have been powering their world for centuries, millenia... perhaps even farther back from recorded history. It was an intriguing topic, yet something their mind could no longer fully comprehend.
What his... its mind truly craved at the moment was not the knowledge of the land, but the feast of flesh. The conversion of others to the We Many, one singular landscape where all were connected; one where it was tall enough to reach far past the skies themselves.
From the depths of its mind, it could respond to the commands of its Bishop, but that was merely a singular command. Right now, it was free to do other things to feed its insatiable hunger and thirst for conversion, and that was...
...Its head turned to the exit door, moving past all other Church dwellers going through experiments languidly. Under the guise of capturing children for experimental purposes, they could feed their ever increasing temperament, and preach sermons to convert even more. It didn't matter if those wretched Penal Battalion were here, it would change nothing.

Megumi felt the moisture of the air cling onto his skin, making it slightly hard for him to even breathe this sort of air. However, a Sorcerer was as adaptable as any human being could be, perhaps even to a greater extent. There was no need to be disturbed with such an environment, considering how he had been far through worse during his missions.
Floods of Cursed Spirits, temporary alterations of environments, there were many things that he had encountered through his years of being put in missions. It was too bad it didn't prepare him for what happened in Shibuya or Shinjuku. Despite the fact that he was so willing to slaughter and maim during the Culling Games, it still wasn't enough to be a 'capable' Sorcerer.
Yet that changes now, with the wheel perched atop his head, one granted by the heavens for his great and prosperous efforts. Glancing upwards, Megumi watched it stay stationary, the gleaming golden object under the sun telling of a grand achievement, stories, and mythology unexplored by the common eyes of man.
There were many things he didn't know about the Buddha of Healing, seeing how different the scriptures of Jujutsu Society were from normal society's recordings. It was so different to the point that Megumi had to wonder what brought about such a great discrepancy in both their values, stories, and principals. Too bad the Sorcerer couldn't review the scriptures anymore, considering he no longer had access to the Zen'in clan's scrolls or modern internet of Earth.
Deciding that was all he was going to ponder about the Dharmachakra and its implications, he decided to make his way around. Glancing left and right, the city was as any city would have been, bustling about with citizens making a living. Still far different from Lungmen's daily routine, something that the black haired man had consistently reiterated within his mind. Seriously, it was hard to imagine this being called a 'city' when there were no skyscrapers around... but maybe it was because his definition of a city was wrong.
It was a city, just not an urban or suburban one, something that the modern age Sorcerer had always forgotten. Traditional in the sense, but still run down and decrepit despite that. Instead of looking like the buildings were made of high quality bricks or concrete, it was as if they were made of carved out rocks, cracking at the seams.
Turning his head away from the sights, Megumi continued down the fogged path. Some people turned to look at him, due to his unmatching attire to the other people and the golden wheel floating above him, but that was all he received. The Ten Shadows user was sure that these people might find it interesting, but there were different matters they had to attend to; like living the rest of their lives.
Sometimes, some of those Church people would be walking around, asking people if they wished to be 'helped' by them, whatever it meant. Megumi knew enough about word implications, but maybe it was just his worries and anxiety overtaking his thought process at the moment. Based on what the old Liberi had said, there should also be some people of the Penal Battalion... but he couldn't really see any.
Maybe it was because they were somewhere else, or because there were just a few of them—Megumi was just glad he wouldn't be running into any of them. When he had first entered the city, the borders were... terribly unguarded, much to his own disturbance. Sure, it provided an easy way in without any difficulty, but such insecurity was honestly a huge bother to him.
It was like Jujutsu Tech not having a protective barrier placed over it by Tengen, letting people... oh, right, nevermind.
Sighing to himself, the black haired man continued to observe the scenery around him. Right now, his goals were getting a small place of residence, and then getting a map that could let him traverse Terra much more easily. Any history books or books that could help him understand the world in general would also be a good thing to take with him.
However, finding a library, a bookstore, or anything similar would be quite a dilemma. That was considering the large size of this city and just how run down it was, would a place like this even have any books? Maps shouldn't be much of a problem, something Megumi was confident in finding the most.
Maybe he should have asked the old man for any directions, but the joke he had sent towards him earlier made the black haired man not wish to talk to him any further. Everything else was in his own hands now, and it was up to the Sorcerer to find his own way, just as he did all those other times.
His steps reverberated across the damp streets, the fog continuing to build up to a small obstruction. Even if it didn't do much to mess with a Sorcerer's sense of sight, it would definitely be for any normal citizen. Megumi wasn't sure how the people of Terra could handle this sort of temperance, but considering they were animal people; the black haired man was sure some races wouldn't be bothered.
But seriously, was this city in this sort of terrible state because they decided to build it over an ocean like this...? In fact, this ocean seemed like a crappy place to be, seeing just how much moisture seemed to fling out of their vicinity and onto the city. While Megumi wasn't a professional in how to make cities, incessant fog such as this could be a bother to daily life.
Thank god they didn't have any cars, if they did—then there would be car accidents happening every single day. A third-world settlement, this was all Megumi could call this city he had found himself in. The Sorcerer wondered if it had always been like this, considering he remembered skimming a part about a 'Golden Age' of Iberia.
Or perhaps the Golden Age was just something that happened a long time ago, where standards were far less than what they were right now. Somebody like Gojo Satoru probably wouldn't mind traversing a place such as this, and wouldn't be a fish out of water either. Megumi recalled the white haired man traveling around the world a few times, mainly to Africa—
—Why were there children playing around unsupervised? Were their parents not nearby?
Megumi took a curious glance, the object atop his head shifting along with his neck movements. They were fooling around, a few Liberi children ranging from daughters and sons. Seeing them having that sort of energy despite being in such a monotone city such as this was sort of jarring, but the black haired man had to remind himself not everything was as the environment was.
There was no need to linger his gaze on them any longer. Just as Megumi thought of that, a slight flutter of brown and a grayed cloak caught the periphery of his eye. The object danced in the air, as if provoking the man to turn his sights back to where the children were. Narrowing his eyes, the Sorcerer decided to get into a better vantage point, where he wouldn't be seen.
Sneaking into an alleyway, and concealing his Dharmachakra with shadows clouding it, Megumi pressed his back against the area and glanced outwards. There it was, a Church folk talking with the children, the latter of whom were listening to whatever they were saying. If anything, it looked like they were preaching some sort of sermon, their hood covering their face in by blocking any light from going through.
Abnormal, Megumi could only describe them as abnormal. It wasn't like the Originium or Arts that he had grown accustomed to prickling at his senses, but something entirely different. Like the ocean, the crashing waves that could tear down entire cities in their uneventful passing, a natural disaster flooding the world with their great might. Muddling with his mind, something was muddling with his mind.
It preached, it spoke, it proposed a time long lost where all could be one with each other. A foreseeable future where pain could be shared amongst all of humanity, where one could become family with each other. More than just a connection via words or emotions... but physiology and blood.
The waves continued to sound forth in his mind, over and over again. It was like an echo chamber of thoughts, bouncing across the walls in the same resonance over and over again.
Over and over again...
Over and over again...!
The Ten Shadows widened his eyes, strangely feeling his wheel twitch and turn.
KLNK
It was a small sound, something in Megumi's mind having been completely severed. Like an invisible hand was placing pressure upon his brain... but when the Dharmachakra turned, the feeling of it being released was the most prominent. The black haired man blinked a few times, letting all obstructions of his sight turn away, before turning to where he hypothesized the origin of the strange occurrence.
The robed man, a priest from what he could tell, was far more decrepit and ugly than he could have imagined. There was no longer a shadow over their face, making their bloated, slimy, and distorted expression of inhumanity clear. Yet that... that thing far from being a human was talking to those children, somehow such youths undisturbed by his(?) looks in the slightest.
"...What the hell?" Megumi felt angered, having his mind tampered slightly with whatever stray Arts they were using. No, could it even be called Arts? It seemed more like a passive ability that distorted people's minds based on what the user wanted them to see... but it was merely a theory the black haired man had come up with. 'One thing is for sure, this can't be good.'
KLNK
The second rotation came, all fog surrounding him completely vanishing. Or rather, they didn't completely vanish, but were far less obstructing. Currently, Megumi was using the Shadow Extension for Mahoraga, letting him use up to 75% of its adaptation. However, to make it passive and far less draining, the black haired man had taken up a Binding Vow.
The specifics weren't too important, just that it took up practically zero Cursed Energy by reducing the total adaptation Megumi could take from Mahoraga being 50%, which was still a very good amount. Shadow Extension and bearing the burden of the Divine General's adaptation were two different things, and he was sure Ryomen Sukuna only found out the Cursed Technique Reversal (Shadow Extension) of Ten Shadows during his bout with Gojo Satoru.
Tapping his head, Megumi continued to glare at the priest from the shadows. His anger was boiling up, knowing exactly what that freak was planning to do with the children. Some sort of kidnapping operation, for reasons that the black haired man didn't know, but he sure as hell wanted to stop the depravity from happening.
The priest motioned for the children to follow it, all of the young Liberi looking happy for some reason. Megumi assumed it to be the ability of mind temperance that the priest was using, otherwise they wouldn't be following such a disgusting stranger such as them. Heaving a small breath, he recited what he knew of himself at the moment.
'I'm not a hero, I'm a Sorcerer. I save who I want to save, selfishly,' with those thoughts, Megumi closed his eyes and let it process itself over in his mind. Once it had completely settled in, the Sorcerer opened his eyes wide, an unimaginable glare present within. 'So let's start with this...' A greater will burned within.
KLNK
All illusions and temperance within his mind vanished with the final wheel turn—before Fushiguro Megumi had his advance. His vision was as clear as the horizon on a clear sunny day, the passive ability of the priest having been put to a complete halt.
Although he only bore 50% of Mahoraga's adaptation, Megumi was sure that a concentrated focus towards him wouldn't do much to afflict his mind. Deciding that he shouldn't let down his Shadow Extension for anything else, the Ten Shadows user tailed the priest within view.
Throughout rooftops, slithering through shadows, and any general place that kept him out of view; Megumi exploited. Although he could save the children right now, he needed to know where their base was, and crush whatever they were doing completely and thoroughly.
Cold and calculated, one fitting for the Sorcerer Killer's son.

The laboratory hallways hidden deep within Primavera's grounds were acrid with the smell of chemicals. Alcohol rubs were a prominent thing, especially for clean-up of tools that were tampered with outside chemicals. Having mixed results because of a misstep or mistake wasn't a good thing for science, after all.
Despite being people of the Church, the residents of this place did not abandon the teachings of science—they took it very seriously. Why else would the Seaborn be able to evolve to such lengths if not for their biology? What else was in their body that could lead to such developmental growth? How could it be implemented into humans?
Could humans be one with their mind...? As true brethren? There were many questions in relation to the Seaborn, and so were there many answers that came out from their research. The conclusion was obvious for them, humans were inferior, and the Seaborn path was the thread they needed to walk upon.
Especially when the sea whispered into their ears—everyday. Amongst the chatter and footsteps of their own making, many have reportedly felt as if there was a calling to them, to assimilate and become one.
Their actions have been far more progressive and have borne far more fruits of labor, especially with the Aegirian technology their hands have been able to reach. The entire city was practically under their control, whether it be people who had converted to their faith; or who viewed them as saviors who came to help this city.
Overall, the entire thing sailed as smoothly as Iberia's greatest ships during the Golden Age, and soon shall the creatures of the deep have their own age amongst dry land.
Well, that was what they believed. Perhaps it would have been far more of an easy dream to reach, if there weren't one singular problem.
Their enemies. The foes that they have made with their actions, ones inexcusable to the people of dry land. Many people opposed them, especially the Iberian government, having made the Inquisition and mobilized the Penal Battalion to investigate anything fishy happening about. Indeed, there were many things that would cause the entire fist of the Penal Battalion crashing down upon their labs.
It was hidden well enough, so something like that hadn't happened. One of their own kin were also able to manipulate the perception of the mind, luring the Penal Battalion away from wherever their base of operations were. Then, those preachers would speak their sermon to the mass gatherings on Sunday, converting those to their faith, or instilling a more affirmed view in the mind of others.
Most of the time, those gatherings would be done in private, unless there was a way to subvert the Penal Battalion's sights away from them.
The laboratory?
There were many 'scientists' moving around the vicinity, dressed in their religious clothing and conducting experiments. Usually, these actions were all done in silence, only a few chatters being made out to each other. They were obedient, knowing the great mantle that has been placed upon them, to research both extravagant machinations and circuity along with biological processes.
One of their greatest finds was when a certain Aegirian Abyssal Hunter was washed up ashore, discovered by the Liberi woman known as Amaia. Currently, they wished to see how the woman's body would react when injected with an enormous amount of Originium in her spine; a fraction capable enough to infect an entire city.
Results have been interesting so far, but it was too bad nobody could do anything with the commands of Amaia. They weren't stupid, so disobeying a Bishop's command would be the last thing on their minds. Currently, they needed more test subjects, and a singular man—more assimilated than any other—had decided to bring a group of children in.
However, even the other priests were slightly worried that the man would consume the children for sustenance rather than for scientific advancement. With how twitchy they've been, and the uneasy posture they've been walking with, everything was obvious to the researchers. There was no reasoning with whatever he had turned into, and the best course of action was to leave 'it' alone.
Other test subjects could be found some other time. So there was no need to interrupt and gain the ire of somebody that could crush all of them, with only a mere raise of their fingers. The tentacles peering out from under their cloak was far more prominent now that the researchers were looking at them, especially within the presence of 'food.'
Everybody backed away, knowing that a gruesome mess was about to be caused, and that a cleaner would need to be stationed. Although there were already messes caused by other experimentations, this one would be far worse than even of them. Not that many people cared, though.
They twitched and squirmed, the rancidly colored biological weapons coalescing in the air to form sharp needles. The Liberi children were in a daze, unknowing of the rabid Seaborn ready to sic their lives away at the current moment.
The converted priest continued staring down at them with all sense of reason lost, only their base instincts acting upon desire. Convulsing with a wild movement, they stretched their right arm back, cloth of their robes ripping out as the tentacles formed together to form a blade-like protrusion.
With a singular motion, their arm lurched forward with a wild movement—a sonic boom ringing out in the entire room.
SLASH
Blood erupted into the air with a splattering sound, a limb now rendered useless flying off. Their eyes widened... it wasn't the blood of the children they were about to consume—but their own—!
...Something erupted from their back, a golden blade blasting through their chest, vaporizing the vital organ known as their heart. Ichor continued to spurt from their now useless limb, before the inhuman being started to twitch, turning their head to look at what was behind them.
It was a black haired man half sunken in the shadows, his eyes wide with wrath and dark cerulean disgust. Nothing but a scoff was given back to the priest, as if they were nothing but a mere insect beneath the soles of his foot. With a small movement, the entire nodachi was pulled out, a grinding sound of blade against blood was heard.
Splattering to the ground and convulsing now for a different reason, the priest felt the lifeforce present within start to leave their body. The functions of the organ that circulated the substance needed for life itself had failed and been completely pulverized. There was nothing they could do... nothing that could—
—Unless, unless they had resorted to that...
***
Megumi flicked his nodachi, letting the blood splatter off the object. Taking a look around, he was glad that the other researchers had completely left the room, giving the perfect opportunity to kill this scum of a person. They couldn't even be called a human being with how deformed they look, and the previous actions had completely given it away too.
Another new thing to note about Terra, this world had disgusting abominations within its land. It would have disgusted him if he were still 15 years-old, but encounters with multiple Cursed Spirits of different variations had desensitized him.
Honestly, Megumi had to wonder what else this world had to offer, seeing how there were mutated tentacle monsters disguised as Church people now. But right now, something such as that wasn't needed.
His gaze turned towards the children, surprisingly still being afflicted by the priest's mental abilities. The Sorcerer wondered if he should use the Inverted Spear of Heaven on them, but decided against it. First of all, Megumi needed to get them to a safe location, and then deal with all the other bastards in this operation.
"Divine Dog: Totality."
A shadow puppet sign was formed, bringing about a hulking werewolf that stood two times the size of his own body. Thanks to the amount of Cursed Energy he put into it, the Shikigami had on average—become much larger with his increased output.
"Take them somewhere safe," Megumi told the majestic beast, before he received a nod from it. The black haired man watched as it picked them up, making way for the exit that its master had memorized in his mind. With its swift departure through the door like a black blur, the Ten Shadows user could breathe a sigh of relief to himself.
"Now, to clear everything else—" Just as those thoughts came to him, Megumi widened his eyes and picked up Dragon Bone, which was planted on the ground. Raising it to his side, an attack slammed into it, forcing the black haired man to reinforce the weapon and his body with Cursed Energy.
An explosive sound rang out, like a cannon firing.
Megumi's body crashed into the wall, making him squint and grit his teeth in annoyance at the shattered concrete. Along with that, the metal tables and appliances from the other room started to bend, catching the attention of multiple researchers within.
Stamping his feet to the ground, Megumi's black haori fluttered in the air, as he stared down the priest he thought that he had killed. From over the dust clearing, a wolf-like beast rose, tentacles and eyes aligning parts of its body as their claws looked to be unnaturally long. So long in fact, that the Sorcerer was sure they were the size of his entire arm.
The researchers from behind yelled out, gathering whatever they could to make a break for the exit door.
"Great Serpent."
Shadows heeded his will, and a gracious slithering sound was heard. Out from the black puddle formed, an unstable snake burst out from it, intercepting the path of the scientists that were attempting to escape. With a swift movement, their gigantic maw snapped and took off all of their heads.
A Binding Vow, to sacrifice a Shikigami to revive one of his own. Megumi had decided to sacrifice Toad, even if it was a very difficult process to do. The black haired man was one to be sentimental with his summons, so having to sacrifice one of his own was always a painful feeling.
However, Great Serpent was just better in every way possible, especially in restricting and ensnaring his opponents—far better than Toad.
Breaking him out of his thoughts Megumi, parried a blow from an extended tentacle, before leaping backwards. More stabbed where his previous path was, before the wolf-like creature roared out, all of the eyes aligning its body widening along with it.
"Now this is more familiar," Megumi couldn't help but give it a mocking smile, "you've gotten more ugly." Putting more force in his legs, the Sorcerer dodged all across the room at the repeated tentacles lashing out, and the claws that would leave a large indentation on the ground.
As swift as the eastern gale, Megumi darted into the hallways, sliding on the ground as a lacerating whip ripped across the environment. He had narrowly dodged it by turning his head, giving a glare of scorn towards the creature, "you're just as stupid looking as all the other Cursed Spirits."
Not receiving a response other than a frenzied roar, Megumi decided to run through the hallway with a smug smile. Honestly, seeing this stupid beast trampling about made his job much easier—all he had to do was make sure any test subjects didn't get hit in its charge. Repulsive people involved with experiments the Sorcerer wouldn't care for.
Oh, look, there were some of them right there!
Megumi felt the wind pass through his body, pushing his hair back as the Sorcerer dashed through. Swinging his nodachi in a wide arc, the engine propelled blade ripped through them with casual ease, the religious people having their heads immediately chopped off.
Right after, the tentacles of the full Seaborn ripped them to bits as it attempted to catch Fushiguro Megumi, the latter giving it no heed.
An alarm resounded, the lights all across the laboratory turning red. Panicked folks running about was the most common sight Megumi saw. He continued creating a bloody paste out of them though, with the help of a monster behind him. Credit where credit's due.
Ducking down, Megumi watched as a tendril shot forward and impaled a shocked priest in the face, leaving brain matter splattering behind the back of their head. 'Repeat this process, and everything should be cleared out in no time.'
One thing of note for Fushiguro Megumi, was that the weird abomination was getting faster the more it attempted to chase him, and its attacks started to become more vicious. Therefore, he decided to keep an even pace, not overloading his body to its limit; because a small premonition came to him.
The beast chasing after him could grow in strength with the exercise it was giving it, or rather—that's what Megumi believed.
Rinse and repeat, the process of the scientists and researchers getting ripped apart by him or the roaring sea monster continued to reverberate across. Screams crescendoed in a symphony of malignance, and blood painted the world around with a sophisticated splendor. There was nothing that could describe the scene other than 'slaughter.'
Megumi moved his body to the side while his body was leaned forward into a running position, the shifted weight allowing a tentacles to splash where he was. Surprisingly, it shot outwards like a spiked ball, extending its reach all around in an area of effect.
Clicking his tongue, Megumi leapt into the air to avoid the newly formed attack—something he hadn't witnessed the monster doing before. Deciding that it was enough with how many people had been slaughtered, the Sorcerer stamped his foot on the ground along with his bloodied Dragon Bone.
The object impaled the floor, stopping him dead in his tracks as he spun around the object in a revolutionary movement. Megumi's lavishly fluttering haori obstructed the view behind him, but there was no need to know what it was, for he was now facing down his opponent.
All that mattered now to the Seaborn was that its prey had stopped in its tracks, their weapon impaled into the ground. It was the perfect opportunity to maim its opponent, and gorge upon the flesh in which it so desired!
With those thoughts, it shall act with—!
"With this Sacred Treasure, I Summon...!"
—It bore witness to the man burning with some sort of blue energy. The stranger's left leg was bent slightly in front, and his right leg pulled back, arms gathered together in a balled fist, and bringing it in front of his body. The wheel atop his head turned, falling to the ground as...
EIGHT-HANDLED SWORD DIVERGENT SILA DIVINE GENERAL MAHORAGA
...A beast of greater proportions than what it could ever evolve into erupted forth from where the wheel had clacked, magnificent in every way possible. There was nothing in the world that the mindless Seaborn could believe that could match such... such majesty!
"Mahoraga," Megumi called out to the beast, "slaughter him." A decadent gaze, the world seemed to be void of all colors, nothing but scribbles being the outline of everything around.
With his words, the Divine General smiled with great fervor, the Sword of Extermination being the guillotine for the transformed being in front of it.
The Seaborn felt its instincts regathering from shock, finally bringing it out of the stupor before. With a raise of all its tentacles and claws, the evolved creature shielded themselves so as to—

—The priest was never always a priest, there was a time amongst the starry eyed beaches that he saw it. The sea, in all of its beautiful splendor, untainted by the hands of humanity, such as how his previous city had been. But it was just so out of reach, like those stories he would read of a paradise up above.
However, the earthen world he resided in was no paradise, it was incomparable to the unreachable sky. What of the ocean, the sea...? What laid beneath could be another paradise for all he knew, one that could propel humanity to an age of true prosperity.
One that they would no longer have to kill each other, where an understanding between all could be reached.
It was upon that very moment, a lady dressed in a black coat, adorned with linings of gold had approached him. Her hand was extended outwards with a small request leaving those graceful and glossy lips.
To join them, unified as kin.

Megumi walked along the bloodied hallways, a single command having been sent to Mahoraga. Clear out all researchers and scientists present within this laboratory without discrimination, and leave all test subjects alive. From what he analyzed so far, though, a lot of the test subjects were in a state where death suited them more.
With a heavy heart, he stared amongst the soon-to-be corpses lying down on the operation tables, and lined up in vat tanks. Most of their appearances looked famished, shriveled up in a way where they looked like skeletons.
A completely corrupt and gut-wrenching sight, something that made the black haired man clench his fist. Megumi knew that occurrences such as these were possible even back in his world—but to see it right in front of his eyes...
It was usually a cliche that happened within movies, novels, or books; the government experimenting on people in unspeakable ways. However, even Megumi was sure that whatever the government did had no edge on whatever the hell he was witnessing at the moment.
Unless it was Unit 731, but he didn't wish to talk about such things.
So all he could was put these people out of their misery, an action the Sorcerer did with a heavy heart.
Raising his blade, Fushiguro Megumi wished them a better life, wherever they reincarnated.

A researcher felt their robes being tangled whenever they ran across the bloodied hallways with bated breaths. There was adrenaline pumping through their body at copious levels, along with other residents running away like scared chicken.
The thumping sounds of their feet were completely drowned out from the reverberating stomp of a beast making their advance, slaughtering all of them with a mere wave of their wrist blade. Every time it moved, every time it sprang into motion, heads would fall.
The researcher ran into a room, one untainted by all of the slaughter. Last time they remembered entering this room was not clear, but they did know it was a place where nobody else had frequented.
Looking around, they gained the sight of a table in which they could hide in. Amongst the screams of their allies, the figure rushed to slide under the object, feeling their body thump against the wall before coming to a complete halt.
Fear, complete and utter fear overtook their body. An incessant shaking of their body, unabiding to the will to make it stop continued to occur. Eventually their ears stopped picking up the sound of screams, shattering bones, and pulverization of walls.
The chime of trickling blood, viscous and crimson continued to echo into their ears, though. But that was the only thing that had they heard, so maybe... just maybe they could—
—Their gaze turned upwards from under the table, before meeting the eyeless and winged face of a title and name that echoed in their mind.
Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga
Under the sadistic smile of the Divine General facing the poor and unfortunate soul, did their life vanish in an instant. As fickle as the billowing waves.
***
Megumi walked across the laboratory, eyes not responding to anything around him. It was the same process of having to take the lives of innocent people so that they wouldn't be held in a state worse than death. This wasn't something he enjoyed, the activity of taking lives.
While the Sorcerer knew that killing was an option that he couldn't stray away from his entire existence, it was still something he wished to avoid. Considering the world he had ended up in, that notion would continue to be challenged. Especially when he had to resort to killing on his first day in Terra.
Megumi's gaze turned to his right, Dragon Bone still clenched in his right hand. With the pace Mahoraga was going, the Divine General was practically a jet flying across the facility. Everybody involved in this mess would be gone before the Sorcerer himself knew it—a testament to the Shikigami's skills.
Back to what he was gazing at, the black haired man found that it was the last vat tank that the Sorcerer needed to destroy. Along with that, a life also needed to be taken away. Staring down at the letters that labeled who they were, Megumi narrowed his eyes. Usually, all others would be marked with random letters of what he assumed to be a dehumanization method.
However, a clear name was presented before him.
'Laurentina?' Megumi raised an eyebrow, before turning his gaze upwards. His eyes widened, the woman in the vat tank was incomparable to anybody else.
Her pale skin laid in the waters, unperturbed by the liquid surrounding her. The woman's white hair continued to flow along naturally, with bubbles occasionally making themselves known within. Serenity was all that emanated from the scene, making Megumi wonder how she was so healthy compared to everybody else.
What caught his eyes the most was that she was naked. Yes, not an article of clothing was on her.
Megumi was glad that her body was curled up in a way that hid all of her private parts. Sighing to himself, the Ten Shadows user was at least glad there was a survivor that he could rescue.
All he needed to do now was find a way to release her without causing any harm.
***
A/N: gonna be a mini-arc before Megumi makes his way to Ursus. Also, I have no clue where Specter was rescued by Kal'tsit from the Church of the Deep, and I've searched through every source I could. If it was mentioned somewhere in SN, then I can't be bothered to go through all those hours again.
I'm going to make it Primavera, but it is most likely Gran Faro. If anything in canon contradicts this, I have ways of twisting the plot to match, like how I did in this chapter.

Profile
After the unforgettable event of the 'Lungmen Incident' occurring in the City of Lungmen, great terror and fear afflicted the citizens. However, amongst the rubble of the desolated main district—arose Fushiguro Megumi—changed in ways nobody could truly understand.
One thing is for certain, and that his strength has grown exponentially.
Still not an official Operator for Rhodes Island.
Clinical Analysis [Have at least 25% Trust with Megumi (the Yakushi Nyorai/ Bhaisajyaguru) ]:
[CLINICAL ANALYSIS FILE CLEARANCE LEVEL CONFIRMED]
Imaging tests reveal clear, normal outlines of internal organs, and no abnormal shadows have been detected. granules have not been detected in the circulatory system and there is no sign of infection. This Operator is uninfected.
NOTE: Brain scans show that the majority of Fushiguro Megumi's brain is composed of scarred brain tissue. Some functions remain restored despite the occurrence, yet others are seemingly permanently destroyed.
The Prefrontal Cortex contains an unnatural signature.
[Cell Originium Assimilation] 0%
Megumi shows no signs of Oripathy.
[Blood Originium-Crystal Density] 0.00u/L
Fushiguro Megumi's results in regards to Oripathy, or Originium in general still shows no signs of anything being present. After the lengthy time and seeing no change—not even the slightest bit—it can be concluded his immune system possesses some sort of capability to rid Originium particles.
"Further blood testing has shown that an unnatural 'positive' energy—undetected by machines—is present within Fushiguro Megumi's body. Blood draws are still restricted to all Medical Operators." —Kal'tsit
Archive File 1 [Have at least 50% Trust with Megumi (the Yakushi Nyorai/Bhaisajyaguru)]
The same lingering negative 'aura' surrounding Fushiguro Megumi is still at all times present. Albeit, there have been recorded instances of something 'divine' emanating from his being, one that leaves many uncomfortable.
This 'divinity' has been reported to be most prominent with the wheel floating above Megumi's head—much like a Sankta's halo. Operators have noted that the 'divinity' feels one more of sheer might rather than a serene and calming one.
Regardless, Fushiguro Megumi is a capable Operator on the battlefield, utilizing his 'Shikigamis' in order to assist everybody as best as he possibly can.
Despite retaining his reserved tendencies, Megumi has shown to be far more in stable condition mentally, due to unknown factors. Only conjectures could be made for what happened during the 'Lungmen Incident' that had involved him.
Archive File 2 [Have at least 100% Trust with Megumi (the Yakushi Nyorai/Bhaisajyaguru)]
'Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga,' that is the title and name of Fushiguro Megumi's tenth Shikigami of the 'Ten Shadows' technique. To reiterate, this 'Innate Technique,' was passed down within the Zen'in clan—which Fushiguro Megumi is an offshoot of.
To give perspective of the Shikigami, the Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga is a powerful Shikigami that had never been tamed before within the clan. That is of course, until now.
A testament to Fushiguro Megumi's growth and skill, the taming of the beast had left a commercial district of Lungmen left in a disastrous state, but the Shikigami had been subjugated in the process.
Its strength has been observed to be a process of adaptation, signaled by the eight-gripped wheel placed upon its head dubbed as the 'Dharmachakra,' as pointed out by many Yanese and Higashinese Operators.
Yes, the object placed above Fushiguro Megumi's head serves as a stationary preparation for Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga to be summoned, and allows for the user to 'bear the burden of its ability.'
The ability of Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga is 'adaptation,' which allows it to adapt to 'all and any phenomena.' Such a notion has rung true whenever Megumi asks an Operator specialized in Arts to attack the beast with their repertoire before the fight begins.
Some Operators specialized in sword Arts have reportedly found their technique 'copied,' which had led to... certain self-esteem faltering in some certain individuals.
Indeed, Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga is a Shikigami to be reckoned with, and an absolute terror to bear witness to. Seeing the beast in action brings both despair and hope to the Operators assigned to Fushiguro Megumi, yet whenever it comes out—that means the opponent requires the summon to be taken care of.
...Or Fushiguro Megumi wishes to use an excuse to bring it out, despite the disagreement with fellow Operators.
Most of the time, Megumi is found in the training room, sometimes even spending allotted times of up to 12 hours each day honing his skills. Despite the lengthy time put into such an activity, any rebuttal to his schedule has been met with immense push-back by the man.
[Refrain from using Mahoraga's full title within the file whenever it is mentioned, unnecessary bloating is not needed. No, the title being 'bad-ass' is not an excuse either—even if it is true.]
"Whenever assigning Fushiguro Megumi to a group of Operators, bear in mind the list created for those who do not wish to have their techniques replicated. This is for morale." — Dobermann
Archive File 3 [Have at least 150% Trust with Megumi (the Yakushi Nyorai/Bhaisajyaguru)]
The Shikigami Fushiguro Megumi has elaborated upon and demonstrated, are of such a large variety—that an entire Archive File has asked to be dedicated towards listing them.
First of the bunch are 'Divine Dogs,' twin wolves both being black and white respectively. They are a good assistance in the battlefield, and can be summoned in shadow-like unstable form in higher numbers, but Megumi notes it doesn't last for too long, and requires higher maintenance.
The next Shikigamis is called 'Nue,' which is an owl possessing orange fur. Its ability includes flight and capability of producing electricity from its body.
'Toad' bears the ability to extend its tongue, serving as a good supporting summon which can restrain limbs of aggressors.
'Great Serpent' has been killed, and thus no longer summonable by Fushiguro Megumi. When asked about the Shikigami, he falls in a state of irritation, not wishing to elaborate upon it. It seems the destruction of Great Serpent is a touchy subject to the man.
'Max Elephant' is a pink elephant which can shoot out water from its trunk. Although how it produces water is unknown—just like the entire function of the Ten Shadows—most Operators skim over that fact because it provides good help.
'Rabbit Escape' produces rabbits numbering in the thousands, being so vast that it can stack up to the size of an entire building. It is a good distraction against enemies, but could also serve as a detriment for teammates. As a result, it is mostly only used when allies are cleared from the vicinity.
'Round Deer' is noted by many Operators to be the Shikigami they like the most, seeing how it provides regeneration capabilities of restoring an entire arm. The 'positive' energy outputted from it as stated by Fushiguro Megumi is in such vast amounts, that total limb recovery is possible if only a minute was spent touching its nostril. However, limbs already long lost are not recoverable, and the regenerative limits of Round Deer are still in question. Further research of it has been banned by Kal'tsit for privacy reasons.
'Piercing Ox' is a Shikigami resembling that of an ox, capable of building up power the longer it charges in a straight line. While in motion, the Shikigami can only charge within a straight line, but the power it builds up is nothing to scoff at. Many Operators have wondered if it truly had no limits to the power it built up, and Megumi has elaborated it is capable of charging 'infinitely.' Take that as you will.
'Tiger Funeral' is a vicious humanoid tiger with a shadowed face, piercing yellow eyes, and gouging teeth. Many Operators, such as Lupos, have reportedly shown immense tension and even fear towards it—noting it to be an 'apex predator.' Its intimidating presence is backed-up by its strength, being able to professionally wield complex weapons such as a three-section staff and producing flames that can level buildings with ease.
'Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga' has already been elaborated upon, but it possesses a reptilian tail extending from the back of its head, four wing appendages where its eyes should be; and an ever-scorning mouth placed upon its face. The final Shikigami is indisputably the strongest of them all, bearing an ability to adapt to anything—along with its immense strength. Many Operators steer clear when the beast is called upon, with a notable phrase always resounding across the battlefield, 'With this Sacred Treasure, I summon.'
Other abilities of Fushiguro Megumi include producing purple-like flames and sending off invisible slashes from his fingertips, further complicating the large arsenal in his possession.
There is also the capability of Fushiguro Megumi fusing the Shikigami, but information such as this is still an unknown and hardly understood matter.
Weapons utilized by the man also include names such as: 'Playful Cloud' —usually given to Tiger Funeral— 'Dragon Bone,' and 'Inverted Spear of Heaven.'
Playful Cloud is a three-section staff which amplifies the physical strength of the user, and the means are unknown.
Dragon Bone is a Higashinese nodachi possessing small engine like contraptions at the blunt edge of its blade, propelling it forward at high speeds. Once again, the process of how it does such an action and how it was made is unknown.
Inverted Spear of Heaven is a strangely shaped dagger—rather than a spear—which possesses the ability to disable Arts with unparalleled ease. Many researchers and weapons manufacturers wish to know how it had been produced, but have been rejected all the same. The weapon is also attached with a chain that extends to unknown lengths, a bizarre sight for many who witness it for the first time.
To elaborate one final time, it is not known how such a thing could occur. If this sort of topic is brought to the Engineering Department, they would share the same feeling of frustration in attempting to understand them.
Exotic weapons of unknown origin, dubbed 'Special-Grade Cursed Tools,' are usually the hallmarks for rumors and discussion amongst Operators who possess a passion for such things.
Overall, an immensely versatile fighter.
Despite the large variety and his rather still tender age, Fushiguro Megumi shows great skill with all of them.
Archive File 4 [Have at least 200% Trust with Megumi (the Yakushi Nyorai/Bhaisajyaguru)]
Fushiguro Megumi was a troubled soul, testified with the lack of life and soul within his eyes. However recently, the man had possessed a burning fever within them, despite the cold air he puts off.
Like an ignition of an engine, Megumi has been active and charging across the battlefield and laying waste to enemies—even if the methods are of scrutiny by many—it proves on a scale surpassing even some Elite Operators.
Despite that, hobbies include reading non-fiction books and studying the history of Terra. Another feature that had surprised many Operators was his enjoyment for movies 'made with low-effort on purpose,' but despising 'movies made with effort, but coming out bad.'
Even under the immense and deflective demeanor Fushiguro Megumi often puts off, it is sometimes hard to imagine somebody such as him is only 18 years-old.
Aside from his current disposition, more information has been revealed about Tokyo, Japan and what the environment back at Fushiguro Megumi's home was like.
Nomadic Cities did not exist where he came from, they resided on a remote island separated from the rest of the world. 'Japan' was described to be isolationist, and has only opened their doors to a select few countries recently. However, such countries have not been elaborated upon.
Based on descriptions, the country possesses technology that is similar to the rest of the world, but different in many other aspects. One such aspect is the lack of Originium from where Megumi had come from, being completely self-sustained on other means of fuels and energy.
Another factor that came off to a surprise was the commonality of firearms in the military; such weapons being 'standard procedure.' This perhaps explains the pistol firearm Fushiguro Megumi possesses, which has been rejected for further examination by Sankta and the Engineering Department.
In regards to Megumi's occupation, it is known as, 'Jujutsu Sorcerer,' people who wield abilities unrelated to Arts.
Although abilities unrelated to Arts are not common, it is not an impossibility either. The sheer utility of Fushiguro Megumi's abilities however, is one of much confusion (Refer to Archive FIle 3).
As many would expect, not much is known in regards to 'Jujutsu Sorcerers,' as Megumi is very secretive of his home—much more than even his own abilities.
Promotion Record [Promote Megumi the Yakushi Nyorai/Bhaisajyaguru to Elite 2]
Interview with Operator Virtuosa:
Question: "What do you think of Fushiguro Megumi?"
Answer: "A strange question... I have many thoughts of him. The spiritual and physical prowess which he exudes, one no longer hampered by the confines of the world is certainly a trait—but I don't believe that to be of anything significant. No, it was the emotional capacity to act upon his desires that he reached such a great height."
Question: "What do you think of the Divine General?"
Answer: "A vast being of cosmic proportions, one unheeded by emotions. Though, that is exactly why I find no interest within it, but merely the one which controls it. Ponder it, why else would the great beast follow somebody, other than the fact that it was subjugated by them... by their emotional dominance, and that is what I find so captivating."
Question: "Do you think Fushiguro Megumi is handsome?"
Answer: "Correction—beautiful."
Interview with Operator Ch'en:
Question: "What do you think of Fushiguro Megumi?"
Answer: "No damn clue. He's mysterious, completely out of it, and honestly... I wish I could know what goes on in that head of his. I don't know why he left Lungmen so abruptly, why he was so suicidal before, and why he changed so drastically the last time i saw him. It's just—it's... ugh! Next question, I don't know what I think of him!"
Question: "What do you think of the Divine General?"
Answer: "Mahoraga...? Powerful. It's immensely powerful, stupidly powerful to the point where I wonder how the hell it even came into being. Well, Terra's mysterious, but how does something like that adapt to everything thrown at it? How can it adapt and replicate entire sword techniques that have been passed down for centuries? Seriously, it's just so damn stupid!"
Question: "Do you think Fushiguro Megumi is handsome?"
Answer: "H-huh? What sort of question is that?!"
Interview with Rhodes Island CEO Amiya:
Question: "What do you think of Fushiguro Megumi?"
Answer: "He's reliable, I like to think he has the best views for everybody. Mr. Megumi is a bit troubled... and—and I don't really know much about him because my... nevermind. He's a really good person if you get to know him, though!"
Question: "What do you think of the Divine General?"
Answer: "Uhm... it's really terrifying, I think everybody thinks the same way. The way it can copy techniques so fast and abruptly has been the subject for many people's gripes and fears, along with secrets of their family heirlooms or heritages being... 'disgraced' in such a way. But others don't mind, and I'm glad Mr. Megumi doesn't use it for bad deeds."
Question: "Do you think Fushiguro Megumi is handsome?"
Answer: "Huh? Yes? Of course, who doesn't?"
Interview with Rhodes Island Doctor:
Question: "What do you think of Fushiguro Megumi?"
Answer: "Eccentric in his own ways, just as every Operator is. A bit troubled, I'm sure Amiya would say the same thing—but he's still a nice person to be around. Anything you assign him, he gets it done as quickly as possible."
Question: "What do you think of the Divine General?"
Answer: "Well, I've seen it on the battlefield a few times, and have many things which I wish to discuss with Megumi or anybody else about. But I only have one description for it at this moment: a creature—any leader, king, or sovereign—would be desperate to command."
Question: "Do you think Fushiguro Megumi is handsome?"
Answer: "Yes."
[Next time an interview such as this is conducted, DO NOT ASK ARBITRARY QUESTIONS (i.e "Do you think Fushiguro Megumi is handsome?)]
Chosen as assistant: Good to see you again Doctor. What? My wheel? It's fine, I just have 'it' stationary.
Talk #1: I don't know what I should say to Ch'en, Lin, Swire, and Hoshiguma. It's... really awkward when I pass them by in the landship. Yes, that is the reason why I travel through my shadows all the time.
Talk #2: I wouldn't call myself the Strongest Sorcerer, in the history of Jujutsu Society, I am actually still far from it. Yes, I can 'consider' myself Special-Grade at this moment in time, but that's the current limit to it.
Talk #3: The Ten Shadows is my Innate Technique, the invisible slashes I send off are not. How did I gain them? It was from outside influences... one that I won't elaborate on.
Talk after Elite 1 promotion: Why does my wheel twitch every time during training sessions? Well, I don't think that's an appropriate question for the moment.
Talk after Elite 2 promotion: Doctor, please do something about all those Sankta asking to see my gun, and my halo. It's a bother I'd rather not deal with.
Talk after Trust increase #1: I always thought I should replicate other people to be at my best, that those who were above me was what I should have strived for. No, it wasn't true at all, and neither do I follow that mindset anymore.
Talk after Trust increase #2: Doctor, what does the title of 'the Strongest' mean to you? Personally, I do not care much for something like that. Just living honestly is enough.
Talk after Trust increase #3: I have to question, how does Virtuosa always move away from Executor? It's not really much of a problem, but I always walk into my room with her sitting on the sofa. She isn't the only one who does that either... Seriously, what is the security of this landship?
Idle: ...It would be pretty funny if he woke up to Mahoraga in front of him... no, calm down, they're not like Yuji and Nobara.
Introduction: You probably already know who I am, but I'll start off with introductions. Fushiguro Megumi, that's all.
Given Battle Records: I should show Mahoraga these...
Elite 1 Promotion: I don't care much for ranks and I don't care much for formality either. A level of mutual respect is all I need.
Elite 2 Promotion: When we were promoted to a higher grade in Jujutsu Society, all they would do was send a message and a small down-payment along with it. Overall, the message was the same; a Sorcerer is a tool for the higher-ups.
Added to squad: Let's get this over with.
Chosen as squad leader: Everybody! First orders are to attack Mahoraga with your strongest attack!
Operation start: "With this Sacred Treasure, I Summon...!"
An enemy is about to spawn: Intercept them, Mahoraga.
Selected #1: Chants...
Selected #2: I'll prepare my Shikigami
Deployed #1: Divine Dogs! (When spawning in with Divine Dogs, Megumi can attack multiple targets.)
Deployed #2: Divine Dog: Totality! (When spawning in with Divine Dog: Totality, Megumi can only attack one target, but deals more damage.)
Skill activation #1: Slash them, Mahoraga! (Function: Mahoraga replicates a sword based attack of a random Operator nearby)
Skill activation #2: Domain Expansion: Chimera Shadow Garden!
Skill activation #3: "SCALE OF THE DRAGON." "RECOIL." "TWIN METEORS."
Skill activation #4: "Mizuchi!" (Passive: Has to have done enough damage to summon Mizuchi)
Operation cleared (4-star): I'd expected as much from Mahoraga.
Operation cleared (3-star): Good work.
Operation cleared (2-star): ...I'll have Mahoraga chase them.
Operation failed: There's no reason to hold back—I'm letting them all loose.
Assigned to RIIC: I'll see what I can do.
Tap: My wheel just spun.
Trust Tap: Mahora—just kidding.
Greetings: Need something?
