At least The ride in the cop car gave me a good view of the city.
Massive buildings and streets of busy people just doing their jobs. The big pull of this city and where it got its name is its 3 famous lightning towers.
they were placed there due to frequent thunderstorms but they kinda go unused for a majority of the year. So, they become a tourist attraction. I always wanted a pin of one of the towers for my collection.
It was also at this moment I realizes the severity of the situation.
I, a normal person, was "attacked" by a surged man who survived 2 gunshots, a giant boulder, and about 15 rocks stabbed into his chest. and in that time, I became a surged, a literal life changing thing that less that 1% of humanity has.
And electricity manipulation? I've heard some people getting some pretty lame powers, (one guy had the ability to use their body as a printer!) but this one it actually nice!
I looked down at my body and the thin layer of lightning was gone "weird" guess me calming down made it disappear.
As we passed through a plaza there was a crowd of people holding up signs that said [surgers are bad!] and [purge the surge!] and Alvin sighed "damn protesters" he looked at me through the rearview mirror "they're just mad they didn't get a taste of the surge. I don't know what they want it's not like we can just kill all of you."
"Some people don't know how to deal with it" I thought.
the surge split the world into two sides, the surged and the normal people, that people believed the fact that only a handful of others became surged was unfair.
But we don't even know where the surge came from, so it's not like that can be changed.
but then There was a beep and Alvin looked at his phone
"What? I thought I already did that" he mumbled to himself.
Alvin then made the cruiser do a sudden right turn "we're taking a short stop somewhere."
"Alright sit tight I gotta go do something here"
Alvin stopped the car in front of a big building:

I guess something came up in here and he was sent to deal with it.
"Alright that will distract him for a minute."
Suddenly, the same black-haired man from earlier was inside the car with me
"Whoa!" I scooted away from him despite the back of the cruiser being relatively small
He gave me concerned look and put his hands up "okay man I don't have much time so can you calm down so I can talk?" he looked down "and get rid of that?"
I didn't realize it, but the lightning came back to my body. "Oh." I considered what this guy would want. Seeing as he just appeared in the locked car he must have an ability that can do that.
Teleportation?, Phasing through walls? What if he was here the whole time just invisible?
He seemed trustworthy, I guess if frank never got out he and his friend would've gone down to help us.
"okay" I said "what do you want"
The man grinned "first off my name" he put his hand out "My name is Soul mackle, if you couldn't tell already, I'm a surged person."
I grabbed his hand "Jake moorne. I'm also a surged"
"I know that and that's why I'm here" Soul put his hands on his head and leaned back. "Their gonna ask you some questions about what happened in the station, you can tell them the truth but make some details clear."
I raised my eyebrow "like what?"
Soul put out his hand "first of all, make sure they know that you're the one that saved frank, not the other way around"
"But he did save me, I would've been more than dead if grey shouted at me again"
"Grey?" soul gave me a quizzical look
"it's a nickname I gave the crazy surged guy"
"Okay, well even so you're the one that did the final blow to Grey right?"
"How do you know that?"
"Well seeing as Frank was unconscious and on your back it would be natural to think that"
I nodded and he continued.
"Okay second, if all goes well the last question they ask you should be a big one, you need to say yes to it. I can't tell you what the question is but trust me," he put his hand on my shoulder, "your gonna wanna say yes"
As we were talking, Alvin left the building now with a bruise on his head
"Alright we've stalled long enough, see ya soon" Soul then winked at me and a black portal started to hum under him. He fell through it, and it warped away shortly after.
"Dang wet floors" Alvin sighed and started up the car again "one would think that they would put up a warning."
Part of me wondered what happened in there but I guess it was a distraction for Soul to talk to me.
"Was it really that important?" I wondered. "What are they gonna ask me and what do they want from me?" I was deep in thought when Alvin knocked on the roof "you their man? Were at the station get out."
Alvin unlocked the doors to the cruiser, and I stepped out in front of a relatively small building that had a sign on top of it.

"let's move it, were late because of that damn commerce building" Alvin frowned, but lead me inside to the reception.
"Hey, I'm here with the witness" Alvin said to the reception.
"right" the reception did something on her computer, and then looked back at Alvin "you guys are good."
we passed through a cop locker room that seemed really empty
"Where is everyone?" I asked Alvin.
"Oh, they're out there, dealing with the station incident and trying to keep the city under control."
"What does he mean "under control?" are other surged attacking the city? Is that anti surge group making a move?"
there was a man sitting on a chair and had a hat blocking his eyes. "Hey Dimitri" Alvin said to the man
"mph"
"Well, this is the witness of that station incident"
Dimitri nodded.
"Alright c'mon" Alvin gestured me forward "Dimitri keeps track of who goes in and who goes out."
"Weird guy"
we then went into a room that said [interrogation]
"Wait I thought you were questioning me not interrogating me" I say as we entered the room.
Alvin let out a chuckle
"it's not like we have a questioning room, don't worry you'll be fine"
When we went in the room, there was a big mirror on the side "that's one way glass" and a table at the center of the room, with 2 people behind it.
One had formal clothing on that had a badge that said
[chief officer.]
The second one was a man with a shirt on with some acronym on it.

"You can leave now Alvin" the second man said.
Alvin nodded and went back out the door.
"Good luck man."
"Hello Jake Moorne" Stated the chief, "we are here to ask you about the incident at Zap city station."
