Chapter 2 - ILLUSION

The silent deck was disturbed only by the determined efforts of a young girl dedicated to cleaning. Mid-scrub, her thoughts drifted back, replaying a conversation with a boy from earlier. She recalled his laughter as he dismissed her concerns with a simple instruction: "You just have to clean my house."My house? she had thought at the time, I thought he was taking me off to fight some epic war. Regardless, why should I be the one to clean his house? As if reading her mind, the boy's laughter had returned. "Well, if you refuse, I suppose I'll just have to drop you back exactly where I found you." Reluctantly, she had agreed to the terms.Just then, a second boy appeared on the scene. "You really don't have to bother with all this," he told her."But... why?" she asked, confused."Because this house," he stated simply, "is beyond cleaning. It will never be spotless.""But I was told to—" she started to protest, only for him to interrupt."Let me guess," he said, a knowing look in his eyes. "That man in the black coat asked you, didn't he?""Yes! How did you know?""Because he made me clean his place, too. It was a truly awful day."Destiny, who had been listening intently, finally stood up straight. "I won't let that man get away with this," she vowed. "My name is Indra, by the way. What's yours?""My name is Destiny," the girl replied.Indra internally mulled over the situation, sensing that the house itself was nothing more than an elaborate illusion. "Come on," he offered, "I'll take you outside."He noticed Destiny was still scrubbing the floor, rooted to the spot. "Do you want to leave here or not?" he pressed.Destiny looked up and observed their weapons: Indra wielded a black energy sword, while her own glowed with golden energy. Without hesitation, Indra drove his blade into the nearest wall. Before their eyes, the entire structure vanished.Suddenly, Destiny realized they were no longer on the deck but soaring through the open sky. The black-coated man materialised before them, a smirk playing on his lips."Indra," he began, "why are you laughing at the sight of us?"The man smiled broadly. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Leo. Honestly, I didn't expect him to ask me to train two novices."He caught sight of Destiny's furious expression directed at him. Cutting their introductions short, Leo clapped his hands sharply. "Enough chatting! Will you spend the rest of the day talking up here in the sky?"With that single clap, everyone disappeared from the airspace.
