Chapter 2 - : New Friends and Old Drama

Ridgewood Academy marigold City

Few weeks later, Angel was waiting at the entrance of school for her friend Vicky after being dropped off by her dad.

Vicky, as her friends called her, was a short form for Victoria, an outgoing, friendly, and bold girl with short black hair and a slim teenage figure.

Angel didn't want to enter the school on her first day without her only support, Vicky.

"Hey, girl!" Vicky shouted, and Angel turned to face her with excitement. The two ran to each other for a hug.

"I missed you so much," Vicky said,

"I miss you too, very much. But if you keep hugging me this tightly, I'll be suffocated." Angel responded laughing.

Vicky laughed as they released the hug and started walking inside the school.

"Guess what happened?" Vicky's eyes sparkled with curiosity as Angel spoke.

"My dad is finally in love, and I'm getting a mom," Angel said, squeaking loudly as they continued walking.

"I finally met her during the weekend, and she's just right. She's nice, she's loving, she's caring, and above all, she loves my dad and me so much. Also, she can cook."

Angel was excitedly telling Vicky how excited she was over everything about Christina and her dad and how the wedding was being planned.

She was so carried away talking that she didn't notice Isabel until she boomed into her. Usabel was looking intently at her phone, and her bag dropped as they boomed into each other.

"Are you blind or you're just stupid? How dare you touch me and push me? Do you even know how much my bag is worth?" Isabel shouted, causing a scene.

"Sorry, sorry, I'm so sorry," Angel said, picking up the bag which was snatched away by one of Isabel's friends who started cleaning it.

"Why are you still shouting and making a scene?" Vicky asked, looking into Isabel's eyes.

"She said she's sorry, and besides, you also bumped into her while looking into your phone."

"Don't get on her bad side," Mirabel whispered into Vicky's ear from nowhere, shocking Vicky before pulling her and Angel away.

"She's the school queen, and she'll make your life a living hell." Mirabel got into an empty room, still pulling Vicky and Angel before letting go of their hands.

"It's very dangerous to pick a fight with her," Mirabel said.

"She's Isabel, the only daughter of Mr. Johnson, the owner of Johnson's group of companies, one of the biggest companies in our city. You wouldn't want to get on her bad side. Her father basically owns half the city."

"Oh my god, no wonder she acted that way over a little issue," Angel said.

"I don't care who she or her daddy is," Vicky said with a serious face. "No one messes with my best friend." "She better not try anything after this," she said again.

"Let's forget all this now," Mirabel said, extending her hands. "My name is Mirabel, but you can call me Mira. Nice to meet you guys." "And I'm Victoria, Vicky for short, and this is Angel, my best friend," Vicky said while shaking her hand and pointing to Angel.

"Can you please show us to our class?" Angel asked, handing over their class slip to Mira.

"Wow, we're in the same class," Mira squealed, and they all walked out of the empty classroom. "We are friends now, I believe?" Mira asked, and they all chorused, "Yes, of course
