Chapter 11 - SS 11: End and Return

"Keep moving forward."

"Though we're from different worlds, as sentient beings, I feel your unyielding will and conviction."

"Leave the rest to me."

Kaiser's voice echoed through the ocean depths.

Clear to all.

Under the golden glow, the four Jaegers clashed with the three Kaiju.

In the original story, Striker Eureka and Dangerous Wanderer fought in the deep sea with near-zero visibility, ambushed and heavily damaged in moments.

But face-to-face, even two against three, they wouldn't necessarily lose.

Illuminated by Kaiser's Cosmo, the deep sea posed no visual hindrance.

The three Kaiju were no match for the four Jaegers.

Even the Category V was gravely wounded under their onslaught.

Roaring in defiance and rage.

In just ten minutes, all three Kaiju were crippled.

Now, one choice remained.

Who would destroy the Breach?

"The World's Will has grown denser."

As the battle ended, Kaiser keenly sensed the change above the Shatterdome.

Compared to his arrival, the World's Will had grown by at least a third.

Enough to cover his reward for this summoning.

"In that case, I'll help you one last time."

A smile flickered in Kaiser's eyes.

"I'll go."

His sudden words stunned the nine pilots in the four Jaegers.

"Your mission is complete."

"You did well."

"I've received the reward I sought."

"As a bonus for this summoning, I'll handle the civilization beyond the Breach."

Kaiser stepped toward the Breach.

He sensed powerful spatial fluctuations within.

The Breach was a wormhole.

Linking two distant civilizations.

"Will we meet again?"

Raleigh Becket asked abruptly.

Though their time together was brief, he trusted Kaiser deeply.

"If you leave a legend great enough in this world, sung by future generations, we might meet again in the Hall of Heroic Spirits."

Kaiser looked at Dangerous Wanderer.

Through the Jaeger's hull, Raleigh knew Kaiser was looking at him.

"I understand."

Raleigh took a deep breath.

"Though our time was short, I admire your conviction."

"Until we meet again."

With that, Kaiser vanished into the Breach with the three Kaiju.

Watching him disappear, the four Jaegers didn't leave immediately.

They waited, hoping to witness the Breach's collapse.

"Until we meet again…"

In the command room, Stacker Pentecost murmured.

The Heroic Spirit left an indelible mark.

In his limited days, he knew he'd never forget Kaiser's face.

On the other side, Kaiser crossed the Breach.

He arrived at the Precursors' civilization.

"What a revolting stench."

"Is this what a civilization climbing the biotech tree looks like?"

Kaiser observed the Precursors' race.

Though sentient, their eyes held only cold indifference.

Lacking the complex emotions of humans.

Their appearance resembled an insectoid hive.

"Unknown powerhouse?"

"You're not from Earth."

A mental message reached Kaiser's mind.

"No need to talk. You're not worthy of hearing me."

Hum!

Golden Cosmo surged.

Crackle…

A beam of light flashed.

Then countless beams erupted at speeds beyond the eye.

BOOM!

The Command Spell's restrictions lifted.

Kaiser's spiritual body now held eighty percent of his full power!

Even a single Light Speed Fist was more than a planet could withstand.

In an instant, the planet was reduced to atoms.

Not even dust remained.

In the command room, they saw the Breach collapse.

They let out a long breath.

It was over.

Whoosh…

Libra Temple, Weapon Sanctuary.

Kaiser's spiritual body returned, his eyes snapping open.

"This is the World's Will's gift?"

"A pleasant surprise."

Kaiser was astonished.

The World's Will not only purified his soul but also his body.

"A crucial step forward."

Sensing the changes in his body, Kaiser was deeply satisfied.

This was a tech-based world, lacking supernatural forces.

It had no power system to draw from.

This gain was an unexpected windfall.

Ending his meditation, Kaiser returned to the Libra Temple.

In the Pacific Rim world, days had passed.

But his return was at the moment he defeated Gategard.

"Young one, you've made quite the progress."

Krest, watching Kaiser emerge from the Weapon Sanctuary, looked surprised.

"It's been a while, Krest."

The man before him was Krest, the previous Aquarius Gold Saint.

Athena's personal guard, a veteran of three Holy Wars.

He played a pivotal role in this Holy War and the next.

"You're close to reaching the Eighth Sense."

Krest was astonished.

Kaiser was only eighteen.

"Why are you here?" Kaiser asked, curious.

Krest, though in the Sanctuary, spent most of his time in meditation.

"I received a message from Sage."

"So I came to check."

"Is Itia really in such a state?"

Krest's voice was low, clearly struggling to accept the truth.
