"Can I borrow your phone? I need to call Maxine. I'm sure she's worried sick looking for me," she requested.
Dante handed her his phone and she quickly dialed her number.
Alisha received lots of scolding from Maxine because her heart had been racing after not being able to find her when the raging crowd had attacked her.
An hour later, Maxine reached the hotel suite.
"You do not know how worried you made me, Alisha. Honestly, I think I have to go to the hospital and get my blood pressure checked," she huffed as she placed the dress on the bed. "You're going to make me look older than my years."
Alisha could only feel guilty. After leaving with Dante, she didn't expect they would get so close last night.
Her injury wasn't even dressed yet. Thankfully, he'd been gentle enough, so it didn't bleed anymore throughout their intimacy.
"I'm sorry," Alisha said, pulling Maxine for a hug and rubbing her cheeks with hers. "I'll buy you your favorite ice cream, I promise."
