Marceline and Draken's shared laughter stopped, though the echoes of it still lingered in the room. Both narrowed their eyes at Atlas, then at the cardinal. But before either of them could make another ridiculing remark, Atlas spoke.
"What about my children?" He asked, his tone deadly serious. "What are your plans for my children?"
"You're not actually complying with him, are you?" Marceline arched a brow at him, scoffing. "Atlas Zorken, I will let you off for bombing my territory and knocking me unconscious when I gave you all the grace I could to hear your reasons. But this?"
Displeasure quickly overtook her expression. "Do not make me laugh. You better not, or I'm going to kill you myself."
