"Seize that bitch!"
The closest ones to Lola were the guards standing watch at the stage. They rushed toward her, weapons raised and pointed in her direction. But just as the first man reached her, Lola grabbed his arm and twisted it behind his back.
She then raised her foot, striking the second man approaching her square in the jaw. The third cocked his rifle, aimed at her, and pulled the trigger without a second of hesitation.
But alas, she was faster.
Still holding the first man by the arm, which she had twisted behind his back, Lola yanked him forward and used his body as a shield. His body jolted violently as bullets tore through him, causing the shooter to freeze for a split second. Unfortunately for him, the moment he hesitated, a bullet tore straight through the center of his brows.
The crowd near the stage recoiled, some scrambling away in panic. But many remained rooted to the ground, watching with wide, unblinking eyes.
