[Lola]
Lola and her newly formed team quietly made their way to the town where the execution was going to happen. Meaning, the main town, which was also the most dangerous place for all of them.
After all, that town, or rather, city, was where the governor resided.
Since they were on the run, the boss decided to take every detour he could to avoid whoever was coming after them. Thankfully, he knew this place better than anyone. But then again, it made him wonder if this was the very reason Lola had roped them into whatever suicide mission she had planned.
The detours kept them safe and undetected, but they also made their travel time longer.
"I'm bored," Lola mumbled, melting into the corner of the truck behind the boss. "Boss, can't you drive faster??"
The boss hissed, glaring at her through the rearview mirror. "Chosen One, I know you are blessed and probably gifted with nine lives. But not everyone is just as lucky as you or has as many lives to waste as you!"
