He cracked open a can, took a swig, then handed it to me.
"Crazy, huh? Us… about to knock over Arasaka."
I took it, sipping slow.
"Could say that."
Jackie grinned, shaking his head.
"Man, I dunno if you're fearless… or just loco."
I smirked.
"Why not both?"

Jackie gave me a look.
"Better not be your girl sending good luck texts."
I smirked.
"Not yet."
He chuckled, standing.
"Just don't get dead, carnal."

Evelyn's face flickered into view — sharp, poised, flawless as ever.
"You ready, Alaric?"
I held her gaze through the vid.
"Always."
Her lips curved.
"Good. Because if you screw this up…
I won't forgive you."
I leaned in, voice low.
"Pretty sure you'd miss me too much."
Evelyn gave a slow, dangerous smile.
"Maybe… maybe I'd just come finish the job myself."
I smirked.
"Wouldn't mind seeing you try."
