There my body lied,lifeless and dead, that was because I died... I'm dead. I thought you'd go to heaven after dying but here I am staring at my own dead body on earth,i was shocked looking at my own dead body. I don't know how I ended up like this but I guess I'm a ghost now. After some minutes looking at my body I had a sense...a feeling to go somewhere I didn't know where but I felt the need to go to this somewhere, leaving my body to rot. After some walking or you could say floating,I had just walked all the way to Stone incorporations. But why would I want to go to a facility?
Hold on now let's back pedal first,how did I die,what's stone incorporations,who even am I? That's why we need to go 1 year prior to my death.
My name's Eric stone and I'm a science-engineer and inventor,I worked at NRR(National Robotics Research) to create robots for household purposes at first. After graduating from Yale with a 3.8 GPA and scoring at least above 85 in all my test the NRR couldn't resit to recuit my brains,and they chose right. I became one of the most important people to technology growth and research creating the first ever robot in 1986.
After MY invention sky rocketed the NRR took all the credit for it not even mention my last name. So I left NRR and decided to create my own incorporation with my best friend,Jack Hills,he also worked in NRR and was relevant to the creation of the first ever robot so together we quit and agreed to give each other equal credit. For the first few years it was tough,we drastically gained more workers and a bigger office but was still too small to match with other incorporations. One day during a meeting about what to do next Jack suggested
JACK:what if we made a robot?
ERIC:We-or should I say NRR already did that,it's not gonna be the next big thing again
JACK:Yea I know that but I'm saying a better robot with more functions
That was all Jack needed to say to give me a spark and start planning this project out. For a whole month me,Jack and the whole crew thought out ways to create a better robot than the one in NRR but not much came up. Of course I wasn't gonna let that happen, everyone knew I wasn't going to give up quickly and after 2 months,I got something. I drove to the office confident and yelled out to everyone
ERIC:Everyone!! I got a possible way to make this project happen
Everyone gathers around and checks my plan. They all looked shocked. Well that was expected since we were going to need voidum,a radioactive chemical that can kill instantly. They knew what was at stake if they wanted to create this robot and a lot didn't want to be a part of it. Only me,Jack, Sophie and Vincent were willing to continue
SOPHIE: hey,Eric listen I'll help you no matter what okay?
VINCENT: yeah me too,I mean you guys practically saved my life and I appreciate it I really do
So we gathered the resources and started by making this robots interior and exterior separately,this was because we plan to put the voidum in and then close it all up.
We took almost 5 months rebuilding the interior and exterior but eventually we finished and all that's left is the voidum which would power this robot.
ERIC: alright,all that's left...is...
VINCENT: hey, we're gonna make it through don't worry got it?
JACK: yeah,we planned this thoroughly
ERIC:...yea,you guys are right. Thank you for helping.
After a heartfelt moment they all went home to sleep for the next big day. Due to security measures we had to do this in a secured testing room with protective gear
JACK:Here we are,you guys ready?
ERIC:Yea,it's now or never
VINCENT:Ready when you are
SOPHIE: Of course not!! I might literally die right here!
VINCENT:woah?! What happened to what we were talking about literally yesterday?
And so we headed in the room with the voidum ready,two of us would place the voidum as the other two would close it up. Me and Vincent were tasked to put the voidum and Sophie and Jack to close the voidum. Me and Vincent each took one and prepared ourselves since the voidum would start to sublimate when it's planted which is why we need to time the closing Right.
ERIC:On my count ok
Everyone nods
3...2...1...NOW!
....BOOM
An explosion happens everyone is dead except me, I could hear people outside calling the ambulance and the firefighter since the building caught on fire. There I was crawling to my best friend
ERIC(SOBBING):NO! NO! NO! JACK! JACK WAKE UP! WAKE THE FUCK UP
The burned bodies of everyone was a nightmare to witness,I just lost my best friend...he was all I really had and Sophie and Vincent they did everything to help. I blacked out after some time next to Jack. I saw the light of my hospital room when I woke up,seems like they made it in time to save me but not the others. I stayed in the hospital sad maybe even depressed but after a month I was allowed to leave finally I can go home and calm down. As I drive home around 8:00 pm my heart started to hurt...like alot. I didn't see I was going of trail and well...that's when I died then I realize I was a ghost and all blah blah blah. Now we're all caught up,I enter my incorporations and well it's not in good state I mean it hasn't been cleaned or used for two month since I was in a coma for a month. I start to walk towards the room where the incident happened...but why would I want to go here? It's like I have a second person in me who wants me to go here. And so I entered I see the bones of Jack, Sophie and Vincent
ERIC:God,may their souls rest in peace
After a moment of silence I get startled by a metal clank,the robot it...survived then it hit me it was a radioactive flash that burned us. I turned around and found a piece of it's finger fell off so I went to put it back. As soon as I took one step closer to the robot I get dragged INTO the robot,but then something strange happens,the robot turns on...I think I just bonded with the robot.
