Cherry did NOTHING to Elijah's insistence on taking her to the bus station back to Bicol.
"Thank you, Brother Elijah," Cherry shyly thanked the young man.
"Okay, go ahead," Elijah replied.
Cherry nodded slowly and turned around but before she could get far, she heard the man say 'See you soon' which surprised Cherry. She turned to the man in surprise but Elijah just smiled innocently at her. Cherry thought she was just imagining what she heard, so she ignored what she had heard and continued walking.
When Cherry left, Elijah took out his cellphone and called someone. It was obvious how cold his expression had become, which had just been smiling.
"Yes, she is..."
The next day, Lalain got off at the bus terminal. Cherry's complicated experience in that place in Tierra Nevada came back to her as she looked out the window.
