Chapter 13 - Spending Time with Family

Roy Mansion

When Adhvik arrived home, his mood was as stormy as his silence.

In the living room, Dadaji, Dadiji, Sarika, and Anita ji noticed his unusual demeanor as he walked straight to his room without a word.

Dadaji: "What's wrong with him today?"

Sarika: "Something must've happened at the office. Adhvik never acts like this."

Dadiji (smiling knowingly): "I know why."

Anita ji: "Why, Ma?"

Dadiji: "Because Cheeku is in love. And now he wants the girl to love him just as intensely."

Everyone looked surprised.

Dadiji: "Cheeku is used to being in control. But love… love doesn't work that way. He needs to give her time, space, and most importantly, trust. Only then will his love reach its destination."

Dadaji: "You're right. We should talk to him."

Sarika: "Yes, Papa ji. A conversation might help him reflect."

They nodded in agreement, continuing their discussion with concern and fondness.

Singh Villa

When Ruhi, Aadya, and Rohan arrived home, Aarav was already waiting at the door.

Aarav: "Finally, you're here."

Rohan: "No, just our souls. Our bodies are behind us."

Aarav: "That joke was as dry as your sense of humor."

Aadya (grinning): "Bhai, your question was worse than his joke."

Aarav (to Aadya): "Don't hang out with him too much or you'll start thinking like him."

Rohan: "Admit it, she loves me more."

Ruhi: "Who would love a fat rhino like you? My Aarav bhai is the best!"

Rohan: "Lizard! You're asking for trouble!"

Aarav (laughing): "Enough, you two. I have an idea—why don't we all go out?"

Aadya: "Where?"

Aarav: "There's a new rooftop place—Sky High. Let's check it out."

Aadya (surprised): "I wanted to go there! How did you know?"

Aarav (smiling): "I'm your brother. I always know what you wish for."

Aadya (hugging him): "You're the best!"

Aarav: "Okay, go get ready—all of you!"

All three (in chorus): "Yes, sir!"

They all rushed to freshen up and then left for the restaurant.

Roy Mansion – Dinner

The family had just finished dinner.

Dadaji: "Cheeku, come to study. We need to talk."

Adhvik: "Okay, Dadaji."

As the rest of the family dispersed, Dadaji and Adhvik walked to the study.

Meanwhile, on the balcony, Kiara, Karan, Eva, and Diya gathered at their usual spot to chat.

Kiara: "Alright, spill the tea. How's Adhvik bhai's love story progressing?"

Diya (excitedly): "Ki, you won't believe it! He had lunch with Bhabhi today! The whole day, they were practically glued together."

Karan: "Even in today's meeting, he had her beside him."

Eva (serious): "But listen—Karan bhai, your ex-secretary and that Sana… they're up to something against Aadya bhabhi."

Karan (concerned): "What? Tell me everything."

Eva explained what she overheard between Reema and Sana—plotting against Aadya. They hadn't seen her nearby during their conversation.

Diya (grinning): "But Bhabhi handled them like a boss! Watch this—"

She played the video on her phone. Kiara and Karan watched in shock and amusement.

Kiara: "That was Aadya?!"

Karan (impressed): "She's fire."

The four continued laughing, gossiping, and bonding.

Sky High Restaurant

Aarav had reserved the entire rooftop.

As they arrived, Aadya and Ruhi were thrilled.

They clicked dozens of photos, shared silly jokes, and laughed nonstop.

Aarav, Rohan, Aadya, and Ruhi truly cherished the evening. The bond between them deepened in that star-lit setting.

Roy Mansion – Study & Balcony

Later, Adhvik exited the study with a calmer expression.

Dadaji: "Remember what I told you, son."

Adhvik: "I will, Dadaji."

As he walked away, he thought to himself:

Dadaji's right… I need to give Aadya time. But I can't let her slip away either. She's already a part of me.

He headed toward the balcony, where the four cousins were still hanging out.

Adhvik: "What's all this noise?"

Kiara: "Bhai! Come join us."

Karan: "What took you so long?"

Adhvik: "Important talk with Dadaji."

Just then, Diya's phone buzzed. It was a notification—Aadya had posted new photos.

Curious, she opened the app, and her jaw dropped.

Aadya had uploaded several candid moments from the restaurant:

One where she was feeding Rohan,

Another where they were sharing a goofy hug,

A fun trio selfie with Ruhi and Rohan,

And a beautiful picture of Aadya and Ruhi, arm-in-arm.

Adhvik noticed Diya scrolling and, without warning, snatched her phone.

He looked at the photos one by one—his face darkening with every swipe.

Why is Rohan always around her? Why is she smiling like that with him?

His jealousy simmered just beneath the surface.

The others watched him silently… unsure whether to laugh, tease, or run.
