The kitchen was fancier than anything he has seen before, but all of the equipments seemed a little weird.
He looked around trying to made head or tail of them, before giving up and walking to the board where menu was written.
- white mistake stew
-beast bone cupcake
-Rigen heart gooey..
?????
What kind of food is this, he can't even understand this.
(Host this is the menu established by previous head chef!! This menu board directly translate the dishes in regional language of the viewer.. so it may not make any sense in your language but it was all really delicious.. This menu has been established for past hundred years.)
"But I can't make any of these ? How am I supposed to make things?"
(Don't worry host, you can change the menu!! As long as the new dish get over 80 percent vote from customer it can be implemented quickly.)
"And how does I do that?"
(Just cook whatever you wish to add and place it up for vote! )
HOW DO YOU PUT IT FOR VOTE !! IS THIS ASSISTANT DUMB.
He walked away leaving Clio behind, cause the way this AI thing give replies he will break it into two very soon.
"And what about the ingredients?"
(Give me a list and I'll get you the highest grade ingredient that I can get)
Atleast it's good for something.
________
He can cook a wide range of dishes from Spicy east Asian stir fry to plain potato soup of European country. Flavors in cuisine from earth are so varied that finding a middle ground is always an issue.
So what should he cook, for his new and unique customers?
Two major option in his mind were noodles or pasta, every culture in earth have their own variation of noodle/pasta dish they all are so good that his mind keep getting blank deciding between them.
What about Pizza? With customised toppings? Wouldn't that be an option safe enough to make the customers more comfortable for them.
"What all do customers here like to eat, I need a list "
(I don't think they like to eat anything particular, further our diner is not really known for food you see... most customers here are ghost so they don't eat anything they just sit and pull pranks)
"So who will eat the food that I'll cook??"
(Probably no one !! Ghost are not known to pay for food because they can't eat it)
Did he got scammed? Why was he recruited with such high salary and big pep talk when there is no customer? Can it even be considered a scam.
(But we do travel through different dimensions weekly, so you can build customer base then, once someone like the food they can find their way to diner from any dimension, so customer base is important.)
Okay well whatever, "how can I get ingredients?"
(Give me the list, I'll get it for you also you can change the kitchen layout in the mean time, to your liking)
He looked around, yeah he do need to change this. Although they all seem quite fancy he can't understand how to use them.
He sat down to make a list of stuff he needs kitchen and for the simple cheese pizza he planned in his mind, they will be traveling to another dimension soon maybe he should start creating stuff and change the menu.
(OK sir, I'll come back with these ingredients in a minute.)
He really did come back in a minute.
Ian has barely blinked and in front of him were the ingredients he listed, from flour, olive oil to garlic powder everything is there.
(Sorry for the wait, I didn't expect the ingredients to be so hard to find)
Umm... he have stopped questioning logic and reality from the very moment he entered this space.
He picked the ingredients, checking the quality before nodding in satisfaction. They wrere definately top-class.
________
He started early, mixing flour, yeart, warm water, salt and a little sugar in a large metal bowl. He worked through the dough- fold, turn, press- making it come together smooth and elastic. He set it aside for an hour to rise as he started working on the sauce.
A splash of olive oil, minced garlic sizzling in the pan filling his senses with delicious aroma, then in went crushed tomatos, a pinch of salt, oregano and handful of fresh basil leaves. He cook it on slow heat letting the delicious flavour combine into thick sause. He used a small spoon, scooping out a little before putting it in his mouth- his eyes closed instinctively- umm.. perfect !
After leaving the dough to rise for an hour, he punched it down and split it into two soft balls letting them rest again as he started on shredding and grating cheese.
By the time he returned to the dough it was ready. He stretched it out, pressing it from center out until it was thin but even, then he spooned the sauce — not too much— just enough to cover the surface with deep red layer. He then covered it with mozzarella, scattering them across the top. A few basil leaves and a drizzle of olive oil, and it was ready.
He placed it into the newly installed pre-heated oven. Within minutes, the kitchen was filled with the aroma of baking bread, bubbling cheese and roasted tomato. He could feel the loud noise in the dining area quited down, a few ghost find their way close to the kitchen.
When he pulled it out, the crust was golden, the cheese melted with few crisp edges, the oil shimmering in tiny pools. He placed it on wire rack, scattering a few fresh basil on top, and let the knife crunch through the first irresistible slice.
He pulled the sliced pizza out to the dining area, placing it on the counter before going to the menu board.
-what did you cook new boss?? A ghost yelled from behind.
Ian smiled and, turned to write a new food item to vote.
*PIZZA*
