Sharing the intimate moment together, the silence grew longer. Hani placed her hand on the grimore and tapped it.
"Should we look through it?" There was a slight uncertainty in her voice, not wanting to stray away from the moment. Still, knowing that Emma was eager to know the contents of the grimoire, she decided to move on.
Hani opened to the first page. It was the first time she had looked into the grimoire properly. The page had raised decals and inscriptions all over it. Hani ran her fingers over them, feeling a sense of power from each one.
"So what does that say?" Emma asked with curiosity.
"To me, predecessor, power is not something you are born with but something you hone with practice. Understand that well, and this grimoire will guide you." Hani read aloud the words which seemed foreign to Emma but not to Hani.
