Emma slammed the door behind her, furious about her confrontation with her mother. She threw her bag onto her chair and threw herself into bed face down. She then vigorously shook her arms and legs in irritation like a child.
After a few minutes of going, self-loathing kicked in as she rested her head on a pillow and felt embarrassed for herself and the way she was acting right now.
"Urgghhh, what am I doing? I am not a kid anymore." Emma mumbled to herself.
"Yep, you are not a kid anymore." Emma heard Sophie's voice; Emma's closest maid in the household came from the door behind her.
"Sophie? When did you come back? I thought you were back on holiday, and extended it." Emma was genuinely surprised to see her back home.
