Bobby normally couldn't keep up with Pietro's speed.
But he's Iceman, and Iceman can create ice under his feet.
So it's pretty obvious why Bobby was the only one able to stick with Pietro.
As for Jubilee—well, she's a mutant who can create explosive fireworks.
In other words, she's basically a weaker Yoshikage Kira. She can't turn people into bombs or use Sheer Heart Attack.
…There was another one of Kira's abilities I forgot the name of… Oh right, Bites the Dust!
Anyway, it lets her turn things into explosive fireworks. Those test tubes filled with weird liquids are enhancers for that power.
Because when her fireworks combine with the chemicals inside the tubes, they create all kinds of different explosion effects.
For example…
"Lee!" Iceman shouted.
"Got it!" She pulled out a test tube, activated her power, and threw it toward us.
The tube instantly exploded into a blue liquid that spread freezing cold air throughout the area.
"?!" Harry realized he couldn't move and looked down—both his legs were completely frozen.
I immediately swung Gwen down toward the ground, kicking up a huge cloud of dust all around us.
"Damn it! Lost them!" Bobby cursed.
"I got this." Pietro sped up, grabbed the other two, and zoomed off.
But surprisingly, we had actually vanished.
"No way?" Pietro looked around in slight shock, unable to spot us anywhere.
"Above you!" Lee's voice rang out, making Pietro look up.
This time, I was riding on Gwen's shoulders while Harry had turned into a weapon—his legs still frozen.
"ICE SLASH!"
I slammed down hard. Pietro quickly backed off to dodge.
Lee grabbed a few more test tubes and threw them.
A series of explosions went off instantly. Gwen suddenly felt sticky, like she was covered in glue.
"Holy crap! I didn't know this stuff combined with sulfur!" I was sweating bullets, trying to peel the goo off myself.
"Chemistry can be weird like that! Take this!" Lee pulled out a really big test tube filled with orange liquid.
Inside it… was a nucleus.
Wait, a nucleus? I thought that was physics—
She threw it straight at us, then combined it with several other test tubes.
Is she seriously trying to make a nuclear bomb right here?!
"HARRY!" I yelled his name while gripping his head.
"Huh?"
"Close your eyes."
Harry immediately shut his eyes—no questions asked. The trust level is unreal.
Then I used Harry to sweep the ground in a circle, creating another huge dust cloud.
"THAT WON'T WORK!" Bobby stomped the ground, sending ice spikes shooting up to blow the dust away…
…only to see Gwen suddenly appear out of nowhere.
"?!"
Gwen shattered all the ice, then knocked the remaining test tubes out of the air.
"How?!"
Lee's eyes went wide when she saw the spider-web attached to the top of Gwen's head.
"Oh! He used his power!" Pool said excitedly.
For the first time, the mutants were witnessing Peter's actual mutant ability.
"Definitely spider-based," Scott commented.
After Gwen yanked us away and started swinging wildly, forcing all three mutants to retreat, the dust finally settled.
Gwen's eyes were bright red from all the dust—she looked like she was about to cry.
Harry was completely fine because he'd kept his eyes closed the whole time. I just calmly held onto Gwen's legs.
"…Um, little help here?" Bobby asked his teammates.
"Of course! Everyone, CHARGE!" Scott raised his hand and pointed straight at me.
"This is our chance! Let's go!" Students from the other schools saw the opening and rushed in too.
Seeing ourselves surrounded on all sides, I decided to reuse the old tactic.
"Bob!"
Scott's voice rang out. A huge guy rolled forward like a wheel together with two others.
"Po from Kung Fu Panda!"
Po started doing martial arts poses while holding a pistol in his other hand.
"Sans Undertale!"
Sans summoned three or four floating Nicolas Cage heads that started firing at me.
"UOHHHH!!"
I slammed Gwen into the ground again, creating another massive dust cloud around us.
Then Harry and I started spinning like crazy. I shot a web to the top of Gwen's head, making her spin at insane speed too.
"AGHH!!"
"UHOH!!"
"YIAOOCHHH!!"
A whole bunch of students got launched away. The three of us were spinning faster and faster.
"CAPTAIN! LOOK!!"
Scott saw that the three of us were about to create an even more terrifying tornado with way more power.
"William!"
The black guy who was their trump card opened his eyes wide. A huge burst of energy shot out from him…
…and suddenly rap music started blasting out of nowhere.
"Wait wait, turn that off! Just because I'm black doesn't mean I listen to rap—I only listen to love songs!" William glared at the guy nearby holding the speaker.
"Aww…"
"Alright, William aka Heart Stone—go!"
His "horse" neighed and charged with him straight into our attack zone.
It didn't take long. Gwen appeared right in front of them.
"Ugh… KFC! I believe in you!" William pulled out some fried chicken and started eating. The grease he absorbed instantly turned his skin pitch-black like pure darkness, and his eyes glowed like Herobrine's.
Gwen got blocked instantly.
"?!"
The tornado stopped dead, shocking me.
"I hate this power. Imagine being a vegetarian and your ability forces you to eat greasy food!!!" he roared, yanking Gwen so hard that Harry and I got dragged along too.
True Prime Body—invincibility doesn't just mean a body harder than diamond; it literally means impossible to defeat in the truest sense! (I have no idea what I'm even saying anymore…)
"AGH!! GET YOUR GREASY HANDS OFF ME!!" Gwen thrashed violently, making William flinch.
'She still has strength to struggle?! Even when I'm squeezing this hard—how strong is she?!'
"GWEN! SWITCH MODE!" I shouted. Gwen's eyes flashed, and she slipped right out of William's grip, leaving everyone stunned.
"CHIRON!!"
Harry dropped me to the ground, grabbed his own hips, and crouched low.
Gwen contorted her body in the weirdest way possible—a web line tied the top of her head to her feet.
Gwen had turned into a bow!
"Centaur???" Everyone was confused.
I then pulled out a massive steel pole and loaded it into the "bow."
"Let's see just how invincible you really are!" I drew the bowstring back as far as it would go.
"STELLA!!!"
I fired the giant steel pole straight at William.
"Shit!!"
William raised both arms to block. The pole slammed into his hands with insane force, pushing him and the two guys carrying him sliding backward.
The people behind William tried to get out of the way but were too slow—they all got smashed into and knocked flat.
In an instant, a whole bunch of enemies collapsed, unable to keep their balance.
BOOM!
William himself was completely unharmed—not even a scratch.
But the guys carrying him? They were flattened on the ground.
"…Great, he really is a [title card]"
The mutants' trump card had been taken down ridiculously fast!
