Chapter 59 - Beach (9)

"Hey!"

Moonie's voice rang out while their hands were beating a fish-man to a pulp.

"What?" I shot webbing at the group of fish-men and delivered a powerful kick.

"You're not using... that Toon Force thing, are you?"

"What? You want me to use it so we can keep fighting each other without worrying about dying?"

"You get what I mean," Moonie said, smashing the fish-man's head.

No and never.

I don't even know how I'd activate it, but I'm not letting this guy have his way.

"Is this the right way?" Moonie pointed at the door.

"Dude... you said you knew the way, so why are you asking me?"

"Is this the right way?"

"...You jerk, are you trying to ragebait me or what?"

"Is it the—"

"Alright, fine! You want to go in there and see, huh?!" I angrily pressed the button to open the door.

Inside, a giant figure resembling the Hulk was revealed.

It was definitely Abomination, sitting there holding a gaming console, playing *Crash Bandicoot*.

Then his head slowly turned, looking at the two of us.

"Funny," Moonie laughed, then bolted ahead of me.

"What the—!!"

A punch shattered the door I hadn't even closed yet, his eyes glaring at me with intense fury.

...It seems he didn't like people interrupting his gaming time.

"Chill, I'll make you a better game, deal?"

"RAGHHHHHH!!!"

"No worries, no worries, you don't need to read to play, just trust me—"

Another punch sent me flying, and I crashed into Moonie, who was already running.

"Aighh... You did that on purpose, didn't you?"

"You jerk! You were trying to escape alone!"

Another roar echoed, and both Moonie and I scrambled to our feet to keep running.

The fast, terrifying footsteps of Abomination were closing in on us—he'd catch up in two seconds!

I shot webbing upward, grabbed Moonie, and swung us away.

"Wow, spider powers, nice job, Ghost Spider No. 2, male version!"

"Oh my god, please stop bringing up that nickname!"

Seeing us trying to escape, Abomination twisted his body and leaped high.

"Oh sh—"

Abomination's hand swatted both of us, sending us crashing hard into a wall, even breaking through a few walls.

My eyes squinted, trying to figure out where we were.

"Huh??"

Moonie's and my heads were stuck in the wall, witnessing Gwen and Namor fighting each other.

"Surprising that I'm still alive," Moonie said, turning to look at me.

"Of course, if you died, your Khonsu would just revive you!"

"Oh? You've got a god in your head too? How's that feel?"

"Terrible."

[What do you mean?]

"This is the Core of the Ocean, the very thing that boost my sea monster with infinite energy! Your time is up, you crazy woman!"

Namor's voice boomed, forcing us to pay attention.

"The Core of the Ocean?" I stared at the gem Namor was talking about.

And just as the venomous needles struck him, the Core of the Ocean unleashed a terrifying surge of energy around him, repelling all attacks.

Immediately after, Namor donned a suit of gleaming golden armor, so shiny it was practically blinding.

"My eyes!!" Moonie tried to shut their eyes.

"That's... That's..." I was stunned, looking at Namor's armor.

It... It...!

"UGLY AS HELL! SO DAMN EYE-SEARING!" Gwen shouted, clutching her eyes and writhing in pain.

That's kind of rude, you know?

"Nothing to expect from you humans—how could you ever understand the beauty of the seas?" Namor struck various poses, showing off his perfectly round, sculpted backside.

Yuck.

"Now... Die!"

Namor raised his trident, which glowed so brightly it made everyone want to go blind.

"AGHHH!!!" The Leader clutched his eyes, rubbing them frantically.

"Oh, come on! Peter! Where's Peter?? I want to hug Peter and stare at his belly button, not the nostrils of this flamboyant mermaid!!" Gwen banged her head against the wall.

What the heck?? Just close your eyes, that's all it takes! Besides, he's not *that* bad—

Oh, never mind, I take it back. This guy's posing even more now, and it's absolutely revolting.

"This is MY power! The power of Atlantis!!" Namor kept posing, more and more, causing everyone to clutch their eyes in agony.

Damn it! No wonder no one's ever seen Atlantis clearly!

"RAGHHHHHH!!!!"

Suddenly, both Moonie and I were hit by a powerful force from behind, sending us flying.

"Huh?!" The three of them turned to look at us, then saw Abomination.

He let out another roar, then swung a massive slap that created a sonic boom and gust of wind, sending everyone flying.

"Damn it, Abomination! I'm your master, dude!"

But seeing Abomination rubbing his eyes furiously, I realized...

"Don't tell me this guy's also affected by Atlantis' power from a distance?"

"Good opportunity," Moonie said, staggering to their feet, gripping a badass katana.

"RAGHHHHHH!!!!" Abomination roared again, charging at the group.

"Damn it! Once this is over, I'm definitely docking your pay, you two!" Namor spun his trident and lunged forward.

And so, the three of them clashed fiercely.

"Peter!" Gwen rushed to my side, shaking me repeatedly and about to start CPR.

"Hey, hey, skipping all the steps, huh? I'm fine," I said, standing up, my wounds already healing.

"Let's get out of here!" Gwen clung to my arm, her face full of pity.

"You're just going to abandon those two?"

"But—"

"You know me, Gwen. We have to stop this Namor guy."

Hearing that, Gwen didn't say anything. I glanced at Hulk, who was so covered in webbing he looked like a cocoon.

Right now, I need him to wake up and smash everything here.

So, I'm hoping Hulk and Bruce can have a little chat.

Because if they don't, I'll have to rely on my outer god again, and that's gonna be a hassle.

[You never respect me, you gonna make me cry.]

Whatever.
