Chapter 3 - Chapter 2

Chapter 2

As Helena entered her home with a tired sigh, what greeted her were the servants who welcomed her with their usual smile. "Has my wife come back yet?" she asked as the maid nodded.

"Madame arrived with Mrs. Renard an hour ago, Madam." The maid responded as Helena nodded and took off her shoes and cloak and walked towards the living room with a smile.

What greeted her were two women sitting corners of one another with laughter filling the room and scarves, laying on top of the coffee table with such intricate design, being displayed as the two converse about something that Helena couldn't quite hear.

The two continued to be immersed in their own worlds not even noticing Helena standing behind her wife, Celeste, as she tapped Celeste's shoulders lightly as the woman turned her head around and saw Helena who flashed her her usual smile.

"Darling!" Celeste blurted out in surprise as Helena bent down and kissed her on the cheeks—their typical routine, sweet and familiar, whenever she's back home. "Thank heavens, you're here. Look!" She proudly displayed the purple scarf she made—which has a peculiar design though it's still quite cute—and wrapped it around Helena's neck.

Helena's eyes lit up and with a pleased smile, she held the helm scarf in her hand and looked at Celeste with shining eyes. "It's beautiful…" she muttered. "Do you think it suits me?" She asked as she rose up, giving a sky wink and showing it off to her wife—though nothing has changed aside from her looking like a fool.

"Hmm…" Celeste tilted her head slightly to the right and looked as if she fell deep in thought and smiled softly. "Not in your current fit." She replied as Helena nodded in acknowledgement.

"Then, I'll go change." Helena replied as she finally noticed the woman sitting on the sofa beside Celeste and smiled curtly. "Oh, my apologies Mrs. Renard." She spoke in a bashful tone as Juliette shook hands and chuckled.

"It's nothing to worry about," She replied. "And no need to be so formal, I already told you you can call me Juliette." Juliette added as Helena nodded with an embarrassed chuckle.

"Right, I'm sorry. I'm still getting used to that…" Helena paused, "Juliette." she added as both the omegas sitting on front of her chuckled as Celeste waved her off.

"Enough of the pleasantries, go take a shower and get changed already." Celeste ordered as Helena nodded happily and left the two of them while planting another kiss in Celeste cheeks as Celeste ignored her and went back to chatting with Juliette who had an inexplicable smile on her face.

"She's quite a romantic, isn't she?" Juliette spoke as Celeste looked at Helena's back leaving through the door and smiled incredulously.

"She has always been like that." Celeste replied though her eyes and smile were soft and full of warmth, something doesn't seem quite right. "She's such a fool." She muttered to herself which Juliette heard but didn't reply to as she nodded.

"How enviable." Juliette replied in a somber tone as Celeste looked at her with eyes full of pity.

"Oh yeah," Celeste seemed to suddenly remember something as she looked at Juliette keenly. "Let's go shopping tomorrow." She said with a bright smile.

"Sure," Juliette replied as she looked at her watch. "But, I'm afraid I must go now Cel." she looked at Celeste with an apologetic smile.

"Yeah, it's already so late." Celeste replied as she stood up, "Let me escort you home." She winked as Juliette chuckled and shook her head.

"Your wife just came back, aren't you supposed to, you know, accompany her?" Juliette spoke as Celeste just shrugged.

"She can entertain herself just fine and besides, I still want to talk to you more." Celeste replied nonchalantly as Juliette nodded with a pleased expression and walked towards the door.

Juliette's house was quite far from Celeste and Helena's home and the sun was already setting so the two decided to just ride in a car. As they sat on their seats with Celeste's family driver starting the engine, the two started conversing again.

"So, have you decided on what to wear for the party?" Celeste asked as Juliette looked at her in confusion.

"What party?" Juliette asked with an empty look plastered on her face.

Celeste looked taken aback as she tilted her head, "Vivi—Vivienne's birthday party?" she replied as Juliette responded with an oh and shook her head.

"I don't think I'll be coming." Juliette replied which made Celeste raise her eyebrow. "I'm quite busy…" She murmured seeing Celeste's expression.

"Oh Julie~!" Celeste suddenly spoke in a soft voice as she held Juliette's hands. "You must absolutely come!" She said flashing a charming smile as she looked at Juliette with an almost pleading look.

Juliette blushed hearing what Celeste had called her especially in that sweet tone of hers. She coughed and felt nervous as she sighed and nodded.

"Alright, alright." Juliette replied as she pulled out her hands away from Celeste. "But, I don't have anything good to wear so…"

"Don't worry about that, we can just buy one tomorrow." Celeste replied with a pleased smile.

"Hm." Juliette bummed in response as the two arrived at Renard's mansion.

"Come again?" Isabella asked with a polite and business-like charming smile of hers as she sat face to face with a domineering woman in front of her who looked at her with a serious and almost deadly expression if you caught on the glint in her eyes.

"I already told you, just one night." Vivienne repeated herself as she sipped the coffee placed in front of her looking at the dumbfounded fool in front of her. She's really losing her patience. "If you bring her to my birthday next week and let me spend a night with her, I might think of your proposal… positively." She explained as she smiled.

The smile of the woman in front of her faltered for mere seconds but smiled yet again as if the dissatisfaction and anger (?) inside it was nothing but an illusion. Vivienne saw Isabella's red eyes dart around the room and not daring to look her in the eye as if scared. How laughable.

"I'll…" Isabella paused. "I'll think about your offer first." She replied as Vivienne clicked her tongue in annoyance.

"If you know what's best for you, you should take my offer in a positive light." Vivienne advised. "And you better have an answer by tomorrow or else," She trailed off. "We can just forget this talk ever happened." She chuckled as she stood up from her seat leaving the conflicted Isabella behind as she patted her on her shoulders and left the meeting room with a smile.

'We can finally be together again.'
