Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 : Mysterious Phenomenon

"How are you all doing? My apologies for the delay of introductions and announcement." The same cheery voice from the first line was heard through the blue screen, a line of message was typed out on time with the words being told.

"From here on out, your precious land, Earth has been fused with Okkaryuon! Rejoice! For the universe is now a unified realm from both planets!" Jum exclaimed, the sardonic smile was palpable through its voice and words as the people who were hearing it felt unbridled confusion, unable to wrap their heads around the situation.

And as if the blue screen was able to pick up on their confusion, their screen flew to the air in front of everyone present, merging with one another and forming an enormous blue screen.

"I can't leave mankind in the dust can't I? I, Jum, shall provide a demonstration to everyone!" The big screen formed a line of message along with the happy voice, before the text disappeared behind a static effect and was replaced by a video of some sort.

"Do sit back and enjoy!" Jun chirped in as the screen hummed loudly, the scene moved to a view of humanity living their lives, being monitored from the sky. Then the scene changed to a world looking like those you see in a fantasy anime setting, demihumans and other interspecies were seen walking around an urban city.

After that, the globe of Earth was seen colliding with another planet. The screen shows how the other planet was being integrated with Earth, warping and reshaping the whole entire globe.

And then, the view was changed to showing clips of natural geography from Earth being altered and meld into a much more dangerous, breathtaking, and unnaturally natural landscape. Like the largest active volcano in the world; Mauna Loa in Hawaii. The surrounding terrain was transformed into a sea of magma and lava, the area grew in distance as it covered a huge zone and produced igneous rocks around the sector and down.

Just like the Volcanoes being altered and meld, there are other places in the Earth that were blended with Okkaryuon's geography, making the land, sky, and water even more dangerous to fragile living creatures than it already was.

After the demonstration had ended, the blue screen typed new messages and the second voice from earlier was heard, Cham.

"Isn't it wonderful? Your world is now a brand new unified realm!" It says as the screen shows the text letter by letter, the voice sounded extremely delighted as if the news was a good one.

"Don't give me that crap! Who would believe this shit?! Unified realm?! Okkar—or whatever it was?! I don't know who told you to pull this prank on us citizens but we're not gonna take this bullshit!" The man who instigated a protest in the past weeks spoke up, his voice trembling with anger and disbelief as he glared up at the humongous blue screen above their heads.

"Calm down, humans from Earth. I don't understand what is there to be mad about, your pathetic world was given a new form! You should be rejoicing and praying on your knees in gratitude!" The screen replied with a sardonic confusion, the words taunting those who opposed and refused to believe in the words being told and displayed on the blue screen.

The man was about to speak up again but the Sergeant commanded the officers to restrain the man, having a bad feeling about what might occur next if the man spoke up for another time against the blue screen.

"Oooh! A human with a useful brain! I commend you. Let's continue shall we?" The text typed again after erasing the previous message. The screen then displayed a countdown of 72 hours, separating into two as the other printed another set of sentences, delivering another eerie message.

"Once the countdown ends, the inhabitants of Earth and Okkaryuon will be receiving compensation for the delayed announcement! Till then, I recommend that you stay put else those who go and disobey the rule will be punished." The screen hummed as the text was printed out, the words like disobey and punishment flashed red when it was spoken out loud by the screen before returning to normal white colored text.

"Is this some kind of joke? It isn't funny! Let us go! Are you the ones behind the world wide emergency?! Because of you my child is starving and sick!" An exhausted and hungry mother yelled as she pointed an accusatory finger towards the screen with the clear intentions of venting her anger, anxiety, and negativities onto the blue screen.

The voices and the text offered no response to the woman as if they were watching her go off. It made the observing Sergeant's stomach drop like no other as he rushed to the woman's side and tried to calm her down, respectfully and as politely as he could. But the woman didn't relent, rather she snapped.

"I don't know why you are pranking us like this but I demand you to stop at once! Unlike you, we have families to go back to and care for! My child had been feeling homesick since we got stuck in this shelter! You should be ashamed of yourself for hiding behind a hologram, making people's lives miserable!" She exclaimed in anger, the starvation and paranoia as well as anxiety that stacked up during her time in the quarantine inside the emergency shelter made her delusional and brazen, unable to comprehend the gravity of the situation much like the other people who began yelling at the screen along with the woman.

Amidst the shouting and the chaos, the Sergeant took a glance at the humongous blue screen with an apparent look of fear as the holographic display flickered red and flared. The two screens merged and rend in the middle horizontally, displaying a makeshift jagged teeth as the words formed a jumbled jury-rigged eyes on top of the horrifying smile.
