Chapter 2 - DAY TWO

As I started falling, I saw more goblins jump down after me down the ravine. Due to their small bodies, they had a lot less air resistance, and were gaining on me fast. I was close to the wall, so I took out my sword and plunged it deep into the wall. It helped me slow down a bit, but my arms were losing grip, and I couldn't hold on for much longer. I saw a small outcrop, and as I let go of my sword, I dove for it.

I hit my stomach on the ledge, and I coughed up blood. I was able to grab onto a rock and started to pull myself up, but a goblin grabbed onto my leg and started climbing up my body. Is claws ran through my clothes, and tore my skin like butter. I pulled myself up fully onto the ledge and pushed the goblin off of me and into a wall. I grabbed my dagger off of my waist and dove to plunge it into the goblins torso. My dagger successfully went into the goblin, but the goblin started scratching my hands and arms. I let go of the dagger and kicked the goblins head into the wall again, and I heard a crunch. The goblin's head was partially destroyed now, and I took my dagger from its torso and immediately put it into the goblins head, finally killing it.

I took my dagger out of the goblin and started to cut open it's chest looking for its core. Most of the time, they didn't have cores, but sometimes when they grew a little stronger than the rest, one would start to grow in its rib cage opposite its heart. It looked like this one didn't have one though, so I still couldn't use one.

I searched a bit more, but I eventually gave up searching for a core. I cut off the goblins claws and set them aside, because they would prove useful if I had to make a makeshift weapon. I took out a few of the goblins larger bones to make other makeshift tools, namely the femurs, ribs, and humerus. I took its clothing and wrapped it around my fingers and my arms for a makeshift bandage. Then I pushed the goblin down the ravine and sat with my back against the wall.

I started sanding down one of the bones from the goblin on the floor into a dagger. It took me a while, but I got an acceptable edge and point. I put it aside and grabbed a few of the runs to make a makeshift chisel and hammer. I made a notch in one of the larger bones on one end and put a rib in it. I took the cloth off of one of my arms and wrapped it around the bones to secure them in place.

I put everything I made aside and took my blood stained jacket off to use as a pillow. I took off my shoes as well as my socks too. I made myself comfortable on the ground and started thinking about all that happened today. I got chased by goblins, almost fell to my death, and killed a goblin that tried to kill me. As I thought about everything, I eventually drifted off to sleep from exhaustion.
